Keatah

Deciding 20+ years ago to get into emulation has proved to be the right choice 10x over and over again. Never has vintage computing and gaming been so fulfilling.

  Emulation has it's uses, but for one's favorite platform, to me at least, nothing beats the 'real deal'.

  Emulation is definately more convenient and portable than system play.
  
  And they've come a long way in their emulation. Fusion and SNES9x for instance - top notch emulation and functionality.

  Yes favorite platforms. It's great and practical to have one or two fav platforms and have nice working examples of them. Then emulation for everything else. And emulation + PC-side utilities to support it. Think file managers and flux imagers and debuggers.
  
  It is not practical to have suitcases full of cartridges and boxes full of wires and accessories. It just gets so ugly.
