Goddamned #@%^## micro-USB connectors. I just wanna piss'n'shit all over the engineer that designed it AND the once that decided its ok to use them on hard drives. I swear every iteration of USB connectors has been worse than the prior one.

  Well, it was designed by consortium/committee, so you might want to load up on something productive, like Raisin Bran and coffee. I agree that microUSB is annoying.

  USB C can go in either way.
  
  USB A, USB B, miniUSB, and MicroUSB all require you to line everything up a certain way.
  
  MicroUSB is small enough that this is difficult to do in the dark or without looking.
