Update from 1979: came home from school. Played Atari VCS. Had frozen dinner. Watched some Buck Rogers, got the ending credits stuck in my head. Ate potato chips and watched Star Trek. Went to bed under a pile of blankets with my Solar System book.

I wonder if I could find the title of the science book I liked around that age? Pretty sure if covered the solar system, and I remember pictures of cars through the decades, with a year 2000 car of the future that resembled a Ford Taurus.
From back when Pluto still enjoyed planet status, and progress seemed linear and constant.
