When I trash things curbside, I put stuff out days before the dustcart comes by. Usually disappears way ahead of time.

  Just don't put out electronics and furniture with a 'FREE' sign on them the same day downpours are predicted. Either people here don't watch forecasts, or are just plain dumb. Say a nice TV and furniture like that this morning after a full night and morning of heavy rain with a wood sing saying, "FREE".

  Back when I was barely scraping by financially, I used to pick up a lot of good stuff during "bulk trash pickup" times. Now, I only pick up the great stuff. :-)
