  1. Backwards time travel remains impossible because the 3-body problem remains impossible even with smaller-than-Planck resolutions in calculations.

TBH I'm trying to remember where I saw it.  I have 2 different series on my DVR called The UnXplained (W/Shatner!) and The Unexplained, respectively...I just bet it was on one of those...There were industries creating Giant bass waves/vibrations in that area or something...People would see old motorcars and horse drawn carriages etc.  The effect would last a few moments, and witnesses were seeing the same scenery.

You can run a 2-body orbital simulation (earth and moon) forwards or backwards. And you can't tell the difference which direction it's operating. Forwards or backwards, all the same. Very deterministic.

But with 3-body orbital simulation, forwards and backwards are different each time, due to limits in mathematical precision. Run it forward 100 steps, then back it up 100 steps. You never get your original starting state. It simply falls apart. Non-deterministic despite common sense saying it should work.

^This is why I have problems rewinding my DVDs...Mayhaps I should call tech support.
