Well, pants and underwear do seem to slow and contain the spread of stink...

Yeh but when you sit down your ass presses all the air out, like a flat tire, and it has to go someplace. And that place is typically the surrounding air!

Instead of a big whumppffff and onslaught of stink, it leaks out over time, prolonging the aroma. Some might get stuck in the fibers and stuff. But it still comes out with the suckage and blowout of standing up and sitting down again.

Toddlers wearing diapers, are their farts blocked? I've never had reason to really investigate that, thus my question.
