Maybe help her figure out *why* she's doing that. Help her find something else to fill that void (running, etc), particularly that you can do together. For me, I just don't buy that stuff. If it's in the house, I eat it. If it's not, I don't. Makes it easier.

How many Windows machines are remaining?

I live in the country so my internet access is by cellphone 2g ~50k connection when it works right. It never works right because of 1 or 2 Windows computers I usually have on. Constantly updating! Windows security, Java, Chrome, you name it. Looked at my usage over the last 3 days and 120 megs which with a 50k connection means it takes half an hour to check your email. Connection bogs down to 1.5k there are so many updates. On the bright side is I have been buying a lot of nice laptops fo...

@DM maybe 40 or 50, whatever they had before. They are replacing the systems that have to do with kids. Kids understand touching "apps" better than clicking on icons. Not to mention the vast selection available.

I know kids that out and outright refuse to work on the traditional desktop.

Meh ... It doesn't bother me. That's what backups are for. I'm pretty anal with my data, so all my important stuff is on at least 2 device, with very important stuff also replicated off-site. All this costs me is 3 hours waiting for the drive to reformat (full format, not a quick format).

I'm just getting caught up on this, but Jeff made a very interesting point when he said Atari ported T2K in such a way as to cut him out of the royalties. He may be able to turn this around on them.
