A SpaceX rocket crashed. NYT says too much rush rush rush and overworked employees.

Aalleluia praise The Lord.. Uhh-aalleluia praise The Lord! A-AALLELUIA praise The Lord.. Ri-ight where we are.. (sing-a-song fasion) Ahem. Not Mayhem. I just updated Internet Explorer 8 with a KB Cumulative patch and now I AM READY! Absolutely ready! Ready to get *IT* ON! MS rocks!

Absalootly! For me a cup of soup or tea does nicely. VCS color cycling in the background and of course a Seven of Nine episode or a Physics episode. Love it! That *IS* the life!

Academia don't like others calling out their bullshit.

After 1 month with Windows 10 I'm beginning to enjoy it. It makes use of the latest technologies whereas older OS'es don't. Naturally. Of course I did some tweaks and such, but nothing out of the ordinary or esoteric.

After 10 years of beta-testing and crowdtesting. The iPhone is becoming a premier must-have product.

@flojo... only ever use it in a case. I've got a nice UAG for my 8. The one with the trapdoor for cards and money. Still awkward due to the funky weight distribution and size, but it's easier to grip at least. As for things like the spell check and keyboard, my point is that I think they were much better in previous iOS's. But yeah, may as we'll disable it. And yeas, the last wto sentences are wha you get with special check enabled. It's that bad.

After reading more stupidity on the internet I fell asleep and had a dream about driving my 4x4 through one big mass of overcooked oatmeal.

Ahh crapola my main emulation drive got buggered. Lost power while updating it. Now it reads as blank/raw.

Sadly not on all my systems.
Imagine 20 years of music, classic gaming stuff, journals, videos, research projects, art projects, photos, theoretical cosmology papers, and novelettes and short stories all being all gone.
It's time to reformat, zero-certify, and pull out the backups. Disaster Averted.

Ahh shit.. another nightmare.. This time about me running all over the place sealing invisible holes so that the devil wouldn't invade the house.

Ahhh... Massive relief! It's all over now, the hard part is done and done with forever and ever. Now I can sit back, enjoy some WhiteCastle Sliders. Play some Atari ROMS. And generally be a slob.

Airbus 380 have crack in the wing spars already..!

Airbus A380! 1 Gallon of gas moves 1 passenger 60 miles.

Airline passengers = self-loading baggage.

Alicia Silverstone chews her kid's food and then spits the detritus into her kid's mouth so the kid can get it down the hatch easier.

All cozied up in my reading loft. Reading Frozen Star intro and MoonSeed. Running my fully loaded Apple II+ for extra heat. A mini space heater! A plate of Spaghetti and Root Beer. Ahhh..

A chillout room with mini bar wall-wall shag fleece carpeting. Mood lighting. Low ceiling. 3 cozy alcoves. All my computing and gaming and space voyages happen there. Very well insulated with a few small porthole windows. 100" LCD running Orbiter Space Flight Simulator or other graphical extravaganzas.

My dad and I built a loft out of attic storage space above the garage and I put in carpeting to turn it into a (very) low ceiling art room/getaway. TV, laptop, notepads, sketchpads, mini-easel, etc. up there. It gets super-hot or super-cold depending on the season. A small heater I put up there recently shorts out the power to everything else. Sucks!

All the unique minor problems of restoring old computers.. It's like a puzzle! What can you do with basic shop materials..?

All the way from the front to the back of the Room, All you feel from the left to the right is the BOOM.

Almost got caught up in the graphics card marketing quagmire again. ALMOST! But settled on some GTX1080 boards for about 225 ea.

I tend to go after higher-end stuff, used, a year or two old. Then watch the new features in the new tech get debugged, market-accepted, tested.. Either approach gives lower prices. One gets you the latest standards and APIs, another gets you higher performance.
Either way, staying behind the leading edge is a good thing.
