Amazon buying toys r us building to make into local warehouses. Amazon is getting too big for my taste..
-
Amazon delivery. Damned impressive! Receiving some packages overnite for free. Others within days, for free too. Realtime tracking of the amazon-contracted courier on googlemaps..

Oh and how could I forget... every single time I order from Amazon - something (usually several things as in this very last time) ends up damaged due to their horseshit packaging. More like NO packaging. Just movies and music thrown into a box, left to rattle and crush each other. So aggravating. DVD's always wind up scratched. Thankfully Blu-ray have the scratch resistant coating.

Amazon is buying old Toys R Us buildings to convert into local warehouses..

I've wondered why more e-tailers don't pick up vacant retail spaces on the cheap and expand their local distribution.
(Of course, it would be better if Toys-R-Us had survived and used the stores as their *own* distribution centers, but since they won't be using them anymore, it might as well be Amazon.)

Amusing that you have to be an "accepted" buyer to get a new ferrari.

I suppose the financial stuff is a given. They want to know your community status and education. It also helps if you get colleague and dealership recommendations.
If you're an apartment junkie and you win the lottery, you're going to have to pay off people if you want a new ferrari.
Otherwise you're stuck with the pre-owned market. And having pre-owned ferraris doesn't carry clout.

@CPU
I would guess, and I don't know for certain, but his producers and managers would write up the recommendations.
Besides, celebrities are by default high status anyways.
I mean if I walked in there with baggy sweats and whatnot, I guarantee they wouldn't sell me one. I could have a million in cash at the ready.
I'd have to go through other channels. And pay off the right middlemen along the way.

As a charter member of eBay I remember when it was a site full of unique hard to find thing at reasonable prices. Not like the overpriced junk mall full of inept sellers it is today.

if it's ok, I'll say a prayer right now for that. I'm sitting here writing a message for our local homeless Mission on the hope we have in Christ and how we're never alone when we have a "friend who sticks closer than a brother" Proverbs 18:24. Also, I wrote a song about a woman who believed on faith that God would send her husband back to her; it's written from the husband's perspective on how he couldn't believe that she loved him all those years he ran a...

Asshole ebayer cancelled my purchase and relisted the item for $8.00 more!

I got screwed big time on eBay this week. I listed half a dozen games that should have been worth $10 or so each for auction starting at $0.99... and they all sold for $0.99 and not a penny more. And the mint condition NES that I paid $90 for last year went for $41. I'm not happy about any of it, but I honored my sales and shipped them out.
