  2. I am pleased to report I have NO Apple II items on my ebay watch list.

    1. Keatah

      Keatah

Partly. Mostly the manuals and additional blank disks. Right-priced manuals are the only things I plan on getting over the summer. Maybe a WiFi RS-232 modem - but that's a tiny pocket-change purchase.

      Keatah

More innovation went into production techniques and how Boeing works internally than the plane itself!

Maybe if we reverse the polarity, or flip all power to the Shields, or target the disruptor beam or increase phase variance until it stops...

  6. My quarterly videogame budget has been approved except for 2 items! Woot!

      Flojomojo

I'm with Thanatos. Small, separate accounts pre-determined allotments for fun stuff. Big joint account for everything else. Keeps the peace.

No way I would submit an itemized list for approval ... what would that do to impulse buys?

Though your way is more thoughtful and deliberate.

      Flojomojo

yup ... and it's a major part of why I've disengaged from Twitter. So much posing and faking ... when it's not actively toxic.

  10. There! At the top for a shining moment!

  11. My previous status update survived the day! Now I don't have to make one discussing the newly discovered Jupiter-Venus resonance that modifies Earth's orbit around the Sun every 405,000 years. Woot!

  16. I'm glad that fad of parents making videos of their kids playing videogames has stopped.

    1. jaybird3rd

      jaybird3rd

Video is my least-favorite medium, too. As I've said elsewhere, "video is slow, it's linear, it doesn't allow random access, it's not searchable, it requires excessive concentration, and it is very low in information density." The poor production values of most amateur YouTube productions detracts even further from the effectiveness of videos.

    2. Flojomojo

      Flojomojo

Now how about those parents who insist that their kids learn gaming the RIGHT way, in chronological order, starting with Atari and one button?

Classically trained is fine. It's those idiot parents..

A small camera part, battery door for canon A1. I don't mind it being repro, but the precision and quality are NOT there!

If its bogus, and listed as genuine, report it to EBay. They should issue you a refund.

  23. The most highly developed and funded AI research is done by Goldman Sachs on WallStreet. Their AI programs are designed to be amoral, secretive, parasitical, predatory, ruthless, and utterly insatiable.

    1. MrMaddog

      MrMaddog

Corporations are entities of the state that live & breath due to economic cash flow. It's a matter of time before AI's not only run corporations in place of people but 'become' the corporate entities themselves...

    2. Keatah

      Keatah

That would be cool. Maybe they will be better run and be able to equally cater to the small guy as well as the big pockets. To them a tiny calculation would be the same as a big calculation.

  25. While not likely that anyone here was on flight 1380. The NTSB wants videos and photos. Careful. The FAA will frown on you for running your phone and camera! It happened many times before.
