  1. That's about as exciting as a lecture on printer stand design!

    1. Tickled_Pink

      Tickled_Pink

Or a lecture on LaTeX. You really need to sit through a series of them to know what it means to be pointlessly bored.

  2. That's all these status update are.. Races to the bottom. Nothing more.

      OOPS I accidentally replied.

  4. That's depressing. More and more classic computing material that's showing up on ebay is from estates of dead people.

  5. That's enough OE-Cake! for tonight.

  6. That's too much when actors charter a private jet for their pets..

What we need is an amateur network to replace the Internet. The technology becomes more affordable every day.

I've grown weary of the constant stream of bullshit leveled at the world from governments. US, Canada, Russia, it doesn't matter. Everyone spies, it's just some countries try to pretend they don't. I barely use the internet for anything other than Netflix, Xbox Live with my mates, reading up on vintage computing/gaming, and some eBay.

  8. The amount of Apple II stuff on the market is really increasing at a phenomenal rate! The first owners are dying off.

    1. SSG

      SSG

Well it is already out of my price range.

    2. BigO

      BigO

At least the stuff I'm about to put on the market came from someone who's still alive.

  9. The Apple Store I was in felt oppressive, run-down, doomy and gloomy. Over minimalized to the point of being spartan.

    1. save2600

      save2600

Sooo disappointing, the Apple of today. Some good specs out of their hardware, but crippled thanks to shitty software. It's the way of the world anymore. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

I went to the Apple store in our mall to ask what happened to Radio Shack (RIP) and we began a discussion about the COLECO shirt I was wearing...

    3. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Evidently someone in there the day before had told all the millennials what a COLECO ADAM was...Nice kids ...

  10. The Archemedean Spiral is integral to the operation of the Apple II disk drive.

  11. The Battle of Blowaloada..

    1. GoldLeader

      GoldLeader

Is that the sci-fi epic with the "X"s on the cover? I see 3 "X"s...

  12. The best products arrive on the market suddenly and just kinda happen. The vaporware and lame stuff gets hyped and discussed and hyped summore forever, then when marketed it turns out lame. Thankfully most remain vaporware.

  13. The Big Bang is wrong. Where did the material necessary for it to occur come from?

    1. BydoEmpire

      BydoEmpire

The Big Bang Theory doesn't presume to answer the question of what came before, so that has nothing to do whether it's right or wrong. It merely attempts to explain the universe we can observe.

    2. Tickled_Pink

      Tickled_Pink

Exactly. The theory's just a starting point. Now, if they one day discover that it's wrong (although all the evidence so far suggests not) then they'll come up with another one. At least they're trying to explain it unlike some, who prefer us to believe in blind faith.

    3. MattelAquarius

      MattelAquarius

It's harder for me to fathom the concept of absolute nothingness. Take away everything in the universe, including the space left behind, and including anything or anyone who would even know to miss it. Non-existence, which seems a more likely "reality" ( is there such a thing as reality, if there isn't ANYthing?), eludes comprehension by my brain.

      No, that's INSANE to me.

I don't know what that is, but I wish I had one to sell.

  17. The Dafodils are singing and the birds are a-blooming.

  18. The eclipse and aura surrounding "things eclipse"are stuck in my head.

  19. The eclipse ate my homework.

Yeah I was referring to covefefe not covfefe...There was already a bunch of studies done on covfefe so I was trying to be original...LOL

    2. HoshiChiri

The Eclipse is too mainstream... I blame my shortcomings on El Nino!

    3. Keatah

El Nino is the Eclipse's bitch.

I bet sadly that 85% of that is either porn or dumb shits posting selfies on Facebook or Twitter

I can double the size of my C64 floppies with a hole punch. Let's see the internet do that.

  23. The essence of human is in the hind brain, the spine, and the gut. Everything else is for show.

  24. The future projects itself backwards into the past and present. While the past transmits its information to the present. Thus both past and future affect the present.

    1. Random Terrain

      Random Terrain

I thought only Santa and whether we are good or bad affected the present?

    2. Papa

      Papa

No, no, no. The Holy Claustrum (Santa Clause), which is a red fluid, goes down your brain (chimney) and gives you PRESENCE!! If you're a materialist literalist than you do exactly what Jeremiah 10 told you not to do. Also, there is no 'present', on the continuously unfolding, unchangeable, unpredictable future.

    3. Keatah

      Keatah

Since the future is in constant flux, so is the past. As they are inextricably linked.
