A planet doesn't have to be gas in order to have rings.

The Arcade Board and Sprite Board are rare items in the real world. Didn't they emulate that in M.E.S.S. though?
I think a re-make of the arcade board should be done. Unfortunately I don't think others will be interested. Let's see how many express it here.
Anything written for those boards is (presently) going to see an extremely limited audience.

What makes you say that?

Make this into a message thread.

I don't believe it is possible to have a stable gas planet that small.

What's a gaz planet?

Hopefully best buy is next to go.

Frankly these blogs are kind of hidden. They need to be "spotlighted" better.

Altirra.. yes. And then Atari800 Emulator 3.1.0 - if you want the best NTSC effects.

Atari800WinPlus hasn't been the premier emulator for a long time now.

Allow me to add that this brings back the best of times and memories from my grade school era. The warmth, the family, the potato chips and cream cheese snacks! All of it!

I used to love playing with that!

It's right about then, that time of not sleeping, when I'd play Lunar Lander on my TRS-80 Pocket Computer. Under the covers with a space or astronomy book and a walkie talkie and some snacks.

What the classic gaming world needs is a versatile, adjustable, programmable, Composite/NTSC/S-Video/Component/DVI/VGA to HDMI/VGA/DVI converter.

Yes. But what does it do to you?

When you get good at soldering, you could lay down one big blob. Then tap with the tip, rub tip clean, tap, rub, tap, rub.. Slowly blotting the excess. Then all of a sudden the part snaps into perfect position with clean shiny concavely rounded joints just like magic. And no shorts. Like I say, just like magic.
Surface tension, flux, and wicking is the key! Get a junk board and practice it!

Awhh wow.. This reminds me of the letters I sent to NASA about my Apple II and Micromodem.

The lightspeed barrier is a fabrication based around primitive experiments. As our technology and insight improve the barrier will be broken. Or, rather, be seen not as a barrier at all. So many things about current science are just asinine.

I did it with a thimble and two pieces of crushed ice.

I hold my soldering iron that way. And I can solder bond wires or thinner.

One could argue the Atari stick is from the future too - because it is so sophisticated and evolved that is doesn't need a cacophony of buttons!
