Humm.. Are we sure the "J" pictured is actually part of JD's initials? The "thing" that contains the J looks like it has legs (?), and also, where's the "D" ? Can't the picture just be from some prototype/development version of the game that contained a sprite that looks like a reversed "J"? greets, Rasty.-

Afaik, the Cuttle Cart is based on the Supercharger, that worked with an audio source. The IntelliCart must have been developed from scratch instead, so a different approach was taken. Connecting the Cuttle Cart to a CD player, anyway, is a great feature in my opinion: it allows you to have a stand-alone 2600 you can play with, without having to rely on a working pc with several yards of audio cable connected to it! I've set it up this way and it works great, is a lot of fun and I love it greets, Rasty.-

Hi all, I'm having quite a hard time trying to kill some (read: a lot) of noise I get in the video signal from my Atari. The screen gets some bad background noise, and in the top part a series of dotted lines appear too. The problem may be related with the TV having too much stuff around it (VCRs, DVD), since on another TV set located elsewhere the signal is perfect. I tried several solutions, like a stablilized power supply and experimented with 3 different 2600's but am going nowhere.. Guess whether the RGB modification could improve the quality? Suggestions will be very appreciated! Thanks in advance. greets, Rasty.-

atarigamer, you may want to try with Hozer Videro, or the Cuttle Cart... greets, Rasty.-

Scott, I don't know if this RotLA walkthrough from gamefaqs.com will be of any help in finding JD's initials, but it probably shed some light on why E.T. starts with 3 points: as we know, a "2" appears next to HSW's initials when you complete the game, meaning RotLA is his second game. Isn't E.T. his 3rd? Of course, please correct me if I'm wrong! greets, Rasty.-

Thanks Scott, I'm glad RomHack has been useful! (that's what I made it for afterall ) Curious how I planned to have the roms compare feature since the start, too bad I never got to actually code it. Concerning new features, anyway, there may be some issues. I did RomHack in 1997 and it was a DOS program. Now, I don't even have the same C compiler anymore (Watcom C). Of course, if there is enough interest, I may go ahead and port it to win32 to further develop it. I'm also willing to send the source code to anyone who is serious about doing that in my place (I've more than once sent it to people who voulonteered but never came back to me!). Again, thanks for appreciating my little program and let me know if you achive some more results! greets, Rasty.-

You may want to try my RomHack utility, it can be quite useful trying to identify graphics inside a rom. It also features a hex/ascii display, 6502/z80 disassembler and a few more things.. Get RomHack from my homepage (freeware of course!). Take a look at the docs first, since there are several display modes available. To search for Backgrounds or Sprites, I'd suggest using the "F6" or "F7" modes. Let me know if it helps.. greets, Rasty.-

Hi all, I'm interested in buying mostly medium to big sized lots (like 10 pieces or more) of 2600 games from people in the EU. I need most of the games out there, so I won't be too picky. Also looking for a Supercharger (shouldn't I?). Feel free to email me at [email protected] or just hint me with someplace to make my purchases. thanks! Rasty.-
