I was having issues with my keyboard. I removed this and it seems fine. Why the resistors on the keyboard connection?

Works! Thanks

I am interested. I am in the US. Thanks! -
What is absolutely needed to use this only for the stereo mod? I am building one like that and would like to only install the needed components. I’ll build a fully functional one later. Thanks!

Will do, I think I’ll install the UAV along with a U1MB.

I have one too and it does work with composite. Thanks!

It is stock. Both composite and S-Video display black and white. I do have a spare UAV, would this work to display color using S-Video? I have several modern data devices including sdrive max and Side 2 and 3. I will be installing a U1MB.

So I bought a PAL 800XL. I live in the US. What is the best way to use this to run PAL software? It works on my monitor and TV, but without color of course.

Atari 400 1056 K Axlon Compatible Board By reifsnyderb
JGRAHAM2 replied to magnusfalkirk's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I had a similar issue with an 800 that turned out to be the connector between the motherboard and the power supply board. I reflowed the solder on both boards and it fixed the SIO. -
Did you ever get the bad board fixed?

Yes, as a remix of the original PBI cover -

Yes, I would like to make it so the board would slide into a slot to hold it more tightly and only the SD card slot would be exposed. I have to learn a few things about design to make that happen. -

I think I’ll print a PBI cover to secure the board. I’m not satisfied with the painters tape. ? I’ve upgraded the memory with Jurgen’s 512K SRAM upgrade. It’s unlikely the PBI will be needed, but this wouldn’t be permanent if it is. -

I did consider that and may do it with one of the boards. Thanks! -

I like the idea of it being mostly internal, but would rather not modify the case. The only thing external, and it would still be out of sight, would be the SD Card extension. I haven’t eliminated putting a slot in the case, I have 14 800XLs, some with modifications on the case for switches, so it wouldn’t be the first time. I’ve already built a few Max versions and like them. Anyway, thank you very much for designing this and sharing it. -

Has anyone just mounted the SD card adapter outside the case via wires or ribbon cable? I’m considering doing that, hopefully avoiding the need to modify the case. -

It is easy. I’ve done 2, one with the smaller version and one with the full size Leonardo. If you need any help, let me know. -
I have a Retrotink and have modified some of my computers for more modern displays. For some, I don’t want to do permanent modifications, because they are more rare or I don’t use them enough. I do have a few CRTs, but they won’t last forever. I am not really a gamer, but I noticed very little lag when playing Pac-Man. Reversing direction seems very responsive. Also, this thing cost me $35.00 so it was worth a try and I am more than satisfied.
