  1. I know this is an old thread, but I am trying to rebuild an Atari 810 myself right now, and could use some help with the various Test Points. I can tell you right now, that my 7805 Votage Regulator looks good with +11.7V and +5V but my 7812 only has +2.7V and .16mv This one does not seem right to me. On the Power Board at the various test points I get: TP1 = +6.23V TP2 = +6.23V TP3 = +12V TP4 = -12V TP5 = +5V I also probed the Crystal on the Side Board and it seemed to be oscillating and producing a clock frequency. The A203 chip on the side board seemed to have a lot of activity / signaling going on.
  2. Hello Guys, Sorry I am new here, but I am looking for help fixing my Atari 810. This is the first 810 that I have worked on, so bare with me. My 810, seems to power on or at least the Power On light turns on. I do not seem to get any initialization from the drive what so ever. It does not seem to spin and make any noise at all. Belt is on and as far as I can tell it is in good condition (Black) I have attached a pic of the drive, so you can see what I have inside this drive. Anyway, I would appreciate talking to someone, who has some experience with these drives, so that I may resolve this issue. I have a Atari 810 Service Manual.PDF, but it does not look like it will be of much help to me. I see what looks like a lot of test points on the drive boards, but my manual does not mention them. I would probably need to do some voltage checking first, like the voltage regulators to start, but I do not see them on the schematics. Thank you

I can barely see the belt on the underneath side, due to a large metal plate that I am assuming can be removed, however there are also a couple of voltage regulators mounted on this plate as well. Anyway, I would appreciate talking to someone, who has some experience with these drives, so that I may resolve this issue. Thank you
