I am also noticing that retro gamers are sort of becoming the equivalent of our parents who might have wound up collecting old jukeboxes. I think something like building a MAME cabinet is like owning an old Wurlitzer was when we were just starting to buy CDs in the 80s.
Oh. Oh God.
I've turned into my father.

A big part of me wants consoles to exist forever -- they've been a thing since 1972 and I would hate to lose the concept. I guess though, like you said, they have become redundant and are no longer "consoles". I think the reason is because powerful PC architecture has become cheap enough to replace them. In a way, consoles were an avenue to make video games affordable, when computers were thousands of dollars and only used for "serious business".
I dunno though.

Sometimes I feel as if my writing improves as I grow older, even if I don't take any classes or practice more. I finished a fairly decent short story last month, one which I'm proud of, and it just makes me think how much better I can be if I keep practicing on top of this natural expressive improvement.

Thanks for the pointers! *(no pun intended.)
Yeah I thought about making the master array dynamic. Something about setting a max size just bothers me.
I refrained from using strtok because I didn't initially design the program to use <string.h> even though I ended up using it anyway. Plus, I was required to do it on a character-by-character basis. I'm not familiar with fread yet.
I'll keep this in mind when I rebuild this for my own programming language.

CD-ROM's, man. Even modern imaging software has trouble making a working copy of 1999's SC3K.
Null-modem? You mean like AppleTalk? I wish computers could still connect like that...

It can be difficult to run older DOS software if you don't have a 5 1/4 inch drive. Luckily the Apex has 2... But no hard disk.
I just pretend that switching disks is fun, but in reality it's annoying as heck.

Righto.

It was effective for the RF, for sure. But I noticed it was much hotter when powering the AV mod. I might be wrong, but I think it's the source of the problem.

The factory heat sink is adequate. So I should just get a new VR? Do they make more effective ones?
The regulator got too hot. That's why it failed.

I'm going over there shortly, so I'll have to check him out and see what's going on.
And yes, he's urinating and defecating fine.

The only one I don't really care about is the oft-mentioned "Saw". I don't know his character even though I did watch much of The Clone Wars (can't remember him). So I didn't related to him at all.
Then he must have been from the "Rebels" animated show that I know nothing about. This is news; I thought he was an original character they came up with for the movie.
Guess not. That was lies! Deception!

Yeah, I liked the characters too, I just thought they deserved more development. The entire first half could have used some more heart.
I liked Director Krennic though; he really felt like he belonged in Star Wars. Warfare was also portrayed more realistically in this movie.
Better than the prequels, surely.

Yes. The box office return alone should tell you how many people have gone to see it. They can complain all they want, but they've still given the studio their money and more will be made.
