BTW, what I fair price these days. Is this too much with all the scratches and stuff.

Without knowing too much I would say it's a decently fair price. Scratched up is expected.. But a lot of the marks might be able to be cleaned off... not too sure about that screen though. Maybe make an offer to the seller a little under the $48 price.

The one with "lots of new parts" and "LCD"?
I wonder if the original PCB(s) are still used?
Yep.. that's the one. As far as the original PCB.. not sure.

I have worn out several of those shirts. I see people wearing these all the time, but gave up asking people about Atari as it seems like it, with so many, "Just something retro and a cool shirt".
Same here. I find a lot of people wearing them have never touched an Atari in their life. I had a guy ask me about my Atari shirt when I was at the mechanic a few months ago. Showed him a picture of my collection and he told me about having a 2600 when he was a kid. Turns out he lives right down the road and has come over a few times (before the pandemic) and we had a few Atari, pizza, and beer evenings.

I am fairly new to Atariage and only recently discovered some of the more recent developments like homebrews and the Harmony cartridge. This is my first HSC. I dusted off the old 2600 and hooked it up about a year ago during the Covid lockdowns, after about the 3rd or 4th day in a row of crawling behind my TV because my Xbox One kept forgetting about its HDMI connection. It's amazing how a 40-year old console proved to be more reliable than a 4-year old console. I forgot how much fun some of these old school games are to play.
Regarding joysticks, my preference depends on the game I'm playing. In addition to the flashback joysticks (which will soon be replaced by the refurbished CX40s I ordered), I have a couple Wico controllers with the switch that allows you to choose between a button on the stick or a button on the base. I find I have better maneuverability with the Wico stick for games like Millipede or with maze games where cornering is important. The CX40 is better when I need more precision with the fire button. For Subterannea, I did better with the flashback joysticks, until they broke.
Welcome to AtariAge! This is the greatest community on the internet!
I hear the Epyx 500XJ joystick is nice and will probably the next controller I order. I kept breaking my CX40s so I switched to the Slik Stik which seems to work pretty well.- 2

Take note of your score before you lose your last life because it doesn't come back after the Game Over screen.
Thanks for that heads up. I was taking a picture every time I got a chance.

This is the first time in years I've played this game. Pretty proud of myself. Fun fact: This was the first Ninja Gaiden game I played back in 1991. Good times. One time I plugged the Game Genie in and was able to clear the entire roof top part of 1-1 with a single jump. The good ol' days.
