Chainsaw? Maybe a hit of acid lol. It would LOOK smaller at least, or maybe bigger, or like a bunch of swirls. Depends lmao.

Nice! I personally like the hugeness of the system. It makes it unique imo.

I discovered i'm VERY good at Beat em and Eat em. I didn't even know it was a game until last year! Lol (jk).

I just copied and pasted this quote from another post i replied to. It is my quote, though lol, I just think it would go better here. I'm tired of people saying "E.T. is the worst game ever made!" And "E.T. caused the video game crash!" Neither of those statements can be considered a fact whatsoever as some people claim they are. First, the worst game ever made does not exist, as it is merely personal opinions that would rate that. I think it's not nearly as bad, and can name MANY games I personally find far worse (Firefly, Haunted House, etc.) but that is just my opinion. Secondly, is is impossible that one game would have caused the entire crash of the early 80s. It was a mixture of MANY different cheap and terrible titles released in bulk for nothing else but making profit. There were no rules or standards in the industry yet, and it was bound to happen at the rate things were going.

How serious a drinker are you?
How mini is the mini fridge?
I think taps are a bit cheesy, personally ... but it's your spot. I'd rather have another game.

Personally I'd save the space for more stuff and just run to the kitchen for more beers, but you could always split the difference and put a cooler with ice in the room for occasional use.

What are the original prices of every model of the VCS? (Heavy Sixer, Light Sixer, Vader, Jr, Tele-Games, etc.) I know the original Jr was 49.99 from the commercial. I was just curious if anyone knows. Thanks!

What did you buy today?.........
Atarikid96 replied to evilevoix's topic in Show Us Your Collection!
A 5200 Trak Ball Controller (actually a few days ago), Defender for Intellivision, Mario Bros CIB for the VCS, and Ballblazer CIB for the 5200. -
I like the siren in x-man that like gets louder until, uh, you win lmao.

How come a lot getting into retro games skip Atari?
Atarikid96 replied to totallyterrificpants's topic in Atari 2600
Because they suck and are dead inside. Lol -
I have a problem with my 5200 trak ball I just bought and was wondering if anyone had any advice. The fire buttons work on it, but the ball it self will only make the cursor jiggle when trying to play Centipede or Missile Command. Anyone know if I can fix it?

Lmao. Probably caused by the drugs back then
-
Probably lol. It's just for the fun of trading really.

I have a few rolls lol

Hooking up VCS through VCR vs. Direct to CRT TV
Atarikid96 replied to Atarikid96's topic in Atari 2600
True lol. I actually found the old VCR had better picture than the vcr/dvd combo. I also just switched my VCS from a 19" Panasonic CRT TV from the late 80s to a 32" JVC CRT TV from the same time period. It looks great! -
Hooking up VCS through VCR vs. Direct to CRT TV
Atarikid96 replied to Atarikid96's topic in Atari 2600
Would you recommend a modern dvd/vcr or older straight up vcr? Because I have both. Granted I'm going to try it and see, and post the results. -
We have 4 so far. I'll give it a couple more days to see if anyone else wants in.
-
That'd be awesome!
-
I was wondering which would generally give me better picture: using an RF to coaxial adapter from the unit directly to the CRT tv, or running it through a VCR then to the TV? Anyone know?
-
Thanks! I just love this forum because it gives me an opportunity to meet and talk with fellow people who truly appreciate and respect retro gaming. The more I come here, it seems like the more I want to post and talk about. Also Keatah, there are so many posts on the forum that posts are bound to come up here and there, but they always have different results. If you couldn't ask a question or talk about something, there would be nothing to talk about! Lol Thanks again y'all!

Either way, I would want updated replies. That post was from a while back, and I'm sure there are new people on here who never had a chance to reply.
