  1. I'm wondering which do you all prefer out of the two main FP tank shooters for the VCS. I know most people will probably say Battlezone, and I agree it's a great game. But, although I may be alone here, I actually prefer Activision's Robot Tank more son than Battlezone. I love the way the shots move with your tank after fired. It just seems more addicting to me than Battlezone. What's your view?
  2. I definitely want Missile Domination. Missile command is one of my all time favs, and I had no idea it took advantage of the intellivoice. Cool!
  3. Cool I just wanna see if we can get a few more people. Like let's say there's 5 people, there'd be 5 items so it all gets swapped. That's the idea. It's just a cool way for people to trade and expand their collection. Also it's cool cuz it's like a surprise when it comes in the mail lol. I'd also recommend not including a game such as Air Raid or Atlantis II, for i'm sure those would be picked pretty fast lol.
  4. I'm good at Adventure too lol it took me about 15 minutes to beat it the first time with no help, and I can easily beat every castle with no problem.
  5. New in box copy of Frogger for Intellivision from flea market for $1. Score!
  6. I've never heard of that version. Thanks for sharing!
  7. TBH, I've never hated the original 7800 joystick like most people. I think it's unique, and for my hands, it works fine. That's just me, though lol.
  8. Thanks! Definitely going to look into that. I love the sound of Intellivoice speech.

  11. Would anyone be interested in starting a retro junk box style package for the VCS. It's where someone sends out a package with a few games/accessories for the vcs, and when someone receives it, they take one thing out that they like and replace it with one thing from their collection. It goes through multiple people, and eventually it comes back to the original sender, hopefully with all different things than originally included. I'm prepared to send out a package with at least 10 games/items for the VCS to get it started to anyone who would want to take part. Honesty is a big part of this deal, obviously. Also, I will include a bunch of postal stamps so shipping won't be a problem for anyone. Anyone interested?
  12. Just reorganized all my games. Realized I may have OCD.

  13. I'm just wondering, has anyone made any homebrews that work with the Intellivoice module yet? That'd be amazing.
  14. I'm just wondering what game/games people are the most, uh, talented at on the VCS. For me, I'd say Yar's Revenge or Missile Command. I've spent many a nights playing, practicing, and cursing at my tv until 3-4 am to get where I am currently score wise with those games (seriously, there need to be an ATARI ADDICTS ANONYMOUS). I can think of nothing more satisfying than having a beer or two and wearing out a VCS controller for a few hours. What about you??
  15. I think it would be cool as hell to have a yellow button like #3. Different, and totally custom. Be sure to post pics, please!
  16. The 5200 is big enough you can probably store a mini bar in there, tumblers, glasses, liquor and all! And some ice to chill it all, of course.
  17. Just scored almost 100k on Yar's Revenge. I'm almost decent! Yay! lol

Thanks, and it's my all time favorite ORIGINAL title for the VCS. So brilliant and creative

Atari Flashback Classics Vol 1 for the PS4 gives a trophy for getting over 300k in Yar's Revenge. It wasn't easy, but I eventually got it.

  18. It just sounds cooler and more authentic to me lol
  19. I know it's made for controllers, but I've never really used it for that. Generally, since it is near my bed, I like to keep cash, cigarettes, and other pocket items in there while I sleep. It may just be me, but I find it great for valuable things such as those. I wonder what people in the early 80s used it for. Probably Quaaludes, coke, and Blondie cassettes lol. What do you keep in your's???
  20. Yea the only reason I ever use a flatscreen with a VCS would be to play with a group of people, and for the big screen experience. But my fav is still CRT.
  21. True. The reason I use a Panasonic ctl-1942r is just because I found it at my late grandmother's house a couple years back still in the box, and she said I could have it. So i guess there's a little bit of sentimental value for me. I know the Trinitrons have the sharpest image and brightest color as far as old SD CRT tvs go, though. They still go for a decent amount on ebay, depending on the model.
