I have BASIC Programming and some NIB Keypad controllers for the 2600 coming in tomorrow. It sounds boring, but I love messing around with BASIC. Yes, I may be a geek lol.

I've now had mine for about a month, and I gotta tell you, there are some really underrated games for this system. It is my new fav port of DOOM, and the port of Primal Rage is great as well. I still don't think the graphics are truly 32 bit, but as far as graphics go, Star Wars The Arcade Game is the best looking game on this sytem graphics wise, imho. That's just me, though. I would reccommend doing research before you decide to buy it and end up hating it lol.

I have an Inty Computer Module CIB. Not super rare, but awesome! I've been using it to mess around with BASIC. I find it very interesting, all 2kb of it!

I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to mod an old, 4 port 5200 to be adaptable with AV and not have to use that stupid box. I know you would somehow have to hard wire the power supply to the system itself, I just want to know if it IS indeed possible.

What's your favorite first person space shooter for the 2600 (i.e. Star Raiders, Starmaster, etc). Mine is Starmaster, although I do appreciate the port of Star Wars The Arcade Game. Just wondering...

If you could have any model of 2600 in the world, along with one of any game, what would it be? For me, it would be an atari 2700 prototype system (shown below) and a CIB copy of air raid, of course! Lol i'm just wondering what all of y'all would choose if given the opportunity.

I just bought my first 32x, and other than the complicated setup, I think it's a decent system. The port of doom is better than the snes version imo, except for the music quality. I will say that I don't see a HUGE difference in the graphics verses the regular Genesis. I haven't really started collecting heavily for it yet though, so only time will tell.

For me, mostly the arcade ports on the 2600 (Missile command, asteroids, defender and stargate breakout, etc), although there are some non arcade gems i love (Yar's revenge, adventure,etc) and i LOVE all of the old school first person space shooters like starmaster, star raiders, etc.

Hi, I have an Intellivision model 1 that I'm having a problem with. The sound is barely audible on the tv, like really low. The thing is, if i push hard on the the RF cable on the back of the system, the sound gets louder. Does anyone have any idea what this could be before I take it apart? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Euro controller as well, i just was talking about the 7800 joystick itself.

Definitely Yar's Revenge. Also Galaga, Atlantis, Stargate (defender II), Starmaster, Chopper Command, Pong, Battlezone (released, not just a prototype) or Robot Tank, and Tetris. Oh, and also Custer's Revenge (joking lol).

Hi all. A week or so back I ordered a power upply for my 4 port model, which supposedly was compatible with either model. When i went to plug it into the switch box, it didn't fit! Anyone else have this problem or know why this is? Thanks!

What's your favorite 2600 model? Mine would be a tie between the Vader model and the Jr. They are both so sleek and awesome looking.

In my opinion, the XEGS and Jaguar would be a tie for that position lol.

Hi all! My first real post on the forums. I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on what are the best/worst games to play with the original 7800 joystick. For me, games like Ms. Pacman, Ballblazer, and Centipede work great because the movement/aiming dies not have to be super precise, although with Ms Pacman, I do sometimes have a problem turning sharply and quickly. Now a game I find nearly impossible to play WELL with the joystick is Asteroids. I just can't seem to aim precisely enough, while, say, on a 2600, I can. Does anyone have any opinions on that or other games? Thanks!
