Does anyone know of any videos showing exactly how to install the Sophia YPbPr in a 5200? I'm interested in seeing what the included cables look like and how audio is connected and utilized with these cables.

In that case I will pass on this year's model. -

Do you think we may be able to upgrade the version of Stella ourselves? -
I received my second unit and it's great. Thanks alsp.

There is no mention of a CRT option in the user guide so I doubt it. -
I would also be interested but they would need to look like they were factory quality. How were you thinking of doing this?

Yea, I bet it won't be enabled out-of-the-box. It may not even be in a firmware that can be downloaded from ATGames but rather require a custom firmware that some local AtariAge talent would be required to write. Bill, can you clarify this please? -

I hope that's true. -

The SD card may be for firmware updates only. This unit might not support additional games. -

I hope one of the Atari sets includes Paddle controllers. Wireless Paddle controllers would be even better. -
I'm just outputting to a LCD monitor. I don't want to see the areas that were hidden when I played it back in the 70s. Altirra has the option. The edges that were hidden from view on a CRT can be hid.

I'm looking forward to it!

Vol. 3 will be the same 2600 version. It was left off of Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.
-
That's the 2600 version by Curt Vendel. It made it's debut on the Flashback 2. Here's a video...

Does Stella have an option to hide the overscan areas?
-
Which Flashback is going to have 5200 games?
-
Thank you.
-
Are you planning on submitting your changes to the MAME release so it can updated also?
-
Thanks for this. Is this a conversion of your 5200 version or a dedicated 8-bit version?
-
Great job. Thank you!
-
The XEX of the 800XL version doesn't seem to have this issue. Is the ROM only affected?
-
Yes, please give us the auction listing number.
-
I'm glad you're back on this project. I was just going to ask if you were still planning on doing this. Somehow I missed the past few posts. Really looking forward to this. Thanks.

MAME requires ROMS with the proper CRC as defined in the hash file a5200.hsi. Pac-Man is defined as... <hash crc32="8873ef51" name="Pacman (Atari) (U)"> <year>1982</year> <manufacturer>Atari</manufacturer> <extrainfo>A13MIRRORING</extrainfo> You can edit this entry with the correct CRC for the ROM you want to try or you can create a new entry in this format...with a different name. Alternatively, you can use Altirra which has far superior Atari emulation and doesn't require you to define each ROM as MAME does.

Controlled Folder access is not turned on by default. You have to turn it on. The document folders are included by default since they are targeted by ransomware.
