  1. Are the latest cracks in this thread all in that torrent that was linked?
  2. With the Unlimited Lives version attached above, does anyone know how to select a starting level above 3? I read you can hold down SELECT while booting but I can't get it to work. Also tried the un-modified version and I still can't select a starting level above 3.
  3. When it gets to the point "Waiting for call...", how do you simulate an incoming call?
  4. I get the same lines and bars with my 130XE. I'm using s-video. I'd love to hear of a simple way to correct this...preferably with some kind of filter/modified s-video cable.
  5. The "trained" version is still difficult. Now we need someone to modify the superior Utopia version to make it winnable.
  6. Thanks Paul. What do you mean when you say "trained"? Does that mean unlimited lives?
  7. I'm using the Parker Bros .atr version on a 130XE. I'm launching it from the FAT32 Loader of the MyIDE-II Cart. The Utopia version was never finished and can't be completed. It has more rooms and that great intro. It also has some nice little extra details such as the spider webs in the rooms. The main character is called Pedro in the Utopia version and Panama Joe in the official released Parker Bros version.
  8. Thanks. I used Super SALT and those two bottom bars are really close. They are a goldish color. I also tried this... "Based on Atari 400/800 Field Service Manual, there is simple way to adjust color pot on NTSC Atari computer without using SALT cartridge. Before you try this please keep your Atari switched on to warm up for 15 minutes. SETCOLOR 2,1,8 REM CHANGES BACKGROUND COLOR TO 1, PRESS RETURN SETCOLOR 4,15,8 REM CHANGES FRAME COLOR TO 15, PRESS RETURN Then adjust Atari color pot to make background and frame around the screen of the same color as possible."
  9. Count me in for a working Jaguar SD Cart and 7800 SD Cart.
  10. Thanks. Using your tweaks, the background on the LucasFilms games is dark. If I raise the gamma to around 1.6, the background is greenish, like my 130XE on my LCD. I'm looking forward to 2.90.
  11. That explains it. I'm currently using Altirra 2.81 and the color preset is set for Default (NTSC XL/XE). Which preset would be the best for this version?
  12. I am using the monitor output to S-Video connection. Since my color bars using CBS Super SALT look very similar to Altirra running the same rom, perhaps the Lucasfilms Games screen is supposed to have a green background and not red. Can someone with an NTSC 130XE check what color the background is on the Lucasfilms Games logo screen?
  13. Perhaps there is something else wrong. Using the Super Salt rom, I made sure that the bottom two bars were the same goldish color. I didn't have to adjust it much. The colors were very close to Altirra running the rom. However, I am still seeing a difference in color. For example, all of the Lucasfilm Games logo screens are green on my system. All the images I find of it on the web and when running on Altirra, the screen is a deep reddish color. My LCD has been calibrated with one of those calibration disks and it looks good. Can anyone explain this or confirm what color this logo screen is on their XE? Mine is NTSC.
  14. I got the SALT rom but I definitely can't get at the screw through the hole in the back. With the cover off, in order to get at it I need to remove the RF shield and keyboard. The keyboard has a metal backing that touches two metal tabs on the RF shield. If the keyboard back is not touching the metal RF shield will I be able to turn the computer on to see the color as I adjust it?
  15. Is there some guide online that you can recommend? I searched but couldn't find one.
  16. I need to adjust the color of my 130XE. I am getting a green color where I should have a red color. On the underside I see a hole in the board but I dont see a place to put a screwdriver. What do I need to do here?
  17. Thanks for the info. What were the file extensions that we would normally see on these files on BBSs back in the 80's? I don't recall any of these extensions...but that was a long time ago.
  18. A lot of the Atari files are often listed with multiple descriptions as seen in the image. What are the differences and which one would be the original, preferred or most complete?
