1. Hey, Is there a good printable list of all the titles/carts for the 2600? Something I can print out and carry with me when out looking for games. I have a really old version from 98 that I have been using, but Im hoping for a newer version, or perhaps even in excel. I went out and found some new carts today and wished I had an updated list.

  2. Halo & Halo 2

    Splinter Cell 1,2,3

    Star Wars Battlefront 1,2

    Forza

    Project Gotham 1,2

Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Gaiden Black

Ghost Recon 1 IT and 2

    Crimson Skies

    Rainbow Six 3, BA, Lockdown

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

    Phantom Dust

    Far Cry

    Battlefield 2

    Doom 3

    Burnout 2,3,Legends

I have these and they are some of my favorites. There are a few more out there that are high quality that I haven't picked up yet.

  3. Drop the focus on movies for the PSP plain and simple. Sure its neat, but Id rather buy my media in one format that works everywhere, DVD Player, Laptop, Portable DVD Player, etc...

Im not going to buy a movie in two formats. Ill buy it on DVD and then rip to a media card for the PSP.

After that, ship more games. Lots of games. Lots and Lots of games.

Oh and release and official tool to rip DVDs to the duo cards.

Oh and THEY SHOULD HAVE SHIPPED IT WITH AN INTERNAL HARD DISK FOR ACTUAL STORAGE SPACE SO IT WOULD WORK AS AN ACTUAL MP# PLAYER.... my DJ holds about 20 times what a $100 add on 1 gig card does for the PSP. Hardly worth it as an mp3 player for me.

  4. None right now for me. PDZ maybe. Hence part of the reason Im waiting to buy one. Maybe even waiting until Halo 3. Im waiting at least until the second revision of the console. Right now the devs still don't really know how to push a multi-core system and the games show this. Here in 6+ months the games will get much better graphics wise.

  5. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing, unless they start screwing around with the formula.  There's already talk that they're thinking of adding tuning and car customization options, which is not only a desperate attempt to pander to the "pimp my ride" crowd but completely misses the point of an ARCADE-STYLE racing game.  In the end, the whiners will get their way, and Burnout will make a hideous transformation into yet another boring, bloated simulation.  Fortunately, I always have Burnouts 3, Legends, and even Revenge to fall back on when that happens.

That is typical EA treatment though. "Pimp my ....." That and shipping less than full sequels. Not much different between 3 and Revenge... Oh well something else will come along by someone else.

  6. And people wonder why all the game studios are going bankrupt right now

    983257

Because most of the games are prized crazy insane, are utter garbage and sold by stores with a "no returns / no try before you buy" policy.

    984010

And simple updates sold as sequels yearly at full price..... :ponder:

You know the stuff we get on PC for free or half price...

  7.

I've never been a big fan of the "realistic" sim-style racing games.

A friend has one of the Project Gotham games on his XBOX and I enjoyed that, but for me no racing game has ever compared to Burnout 2. (I look forward to getting Burnout 3, assuming I get the XBOX for Christmas... no 'Cube version!) I eventually got the original Burnout when I saw it for $10 and ended up selling it... no comparison when I was already used to Burnout 2!

From what I've heard, Burnout 3 is by far the best in the series, which is saying something, considering how good 2 is.

Burnout 3 is good, but clearly has EA touch for good or bad. Revenge is even better and deeper IMHO. If you get an XBOX/PS2/PSP its worth looking into if you like Burnout 2. Im a HUGE fan of burnout 2 and love 3 and revenge. BTW, EA pretty much took over after 2 so we can look forward to a new burnout every year. So far that seems to be the case at least. :| :)

  8. the man is telling me that there is no code.. just the unit displays "Unit needs service" displayed in several languages..

its also refusing to give up the game that was inthe drive when it froze up...

It was vice city if that has anything to do with it.. maybe the Xbox froze up on moralistic grounds? :D

Thats how the parental controls really work on the xbox didnt they tell you... :ponder:

  9. As I mentioned before and saying it again. When you get online and talk to people you will hear all kinds of opinions on both DSL and cable. The best bet is to get on dslreports and read up on your local providers. Talk to people around you. It really depeneds on the area and the providers. I LOVE SBC but we just moved to an area that doesn't have SBC. Now we have qwest, and the service good, but the customer support is HORRIBLE for the most part.

Talk to some co-workers and see what they have and like also....

  10. I love "sim" racing, and right now FORZA is the clear champion. Jump online if you'de like.

As for the king of non sims, in my opinion its burnout. Great physics for an arcade racer, but not silly physics. AWESOME sense of speed when driving through oncoming traffic. ACTUAL traffic on the streets, but still a racing game. Then finally add on online and crash mode for even more hours of fun. We play crash mode a ton.

Again, its a shame EA got their hands on it though.... :x :x :x :x

  11. I was going to point you to the answers, but Ill pass after seeing you want to steal games....

Needless to say the big issue now is the hypervisor.

Could be a wile or possibly after the generation is over before a hardware hack is found. Right now most are hoping for a software exploit.

  12. Bump mapping is way different from what is being discussed here. Unlike bump mapping this actual deforms geometry during the rendering process. From what I understand, the major drawback of the technology is that most current 3D design programs don't support the creation of such maps.

Notice what I said in my sentence. Made on the difference in his case. As in Master Chief. Never said this was bump mapping. I REALIZE THIS ISN"T BUMP MAPPING. I was making a simple comparison.

    ;)

  13. Does anybody know anything about cleaning a Super Nintendo mouse. Ours has pretty much quit working.

    983596

Just got done with this exact thing. I pulled the whole thing apart and washed the plastic stuff with hot soapy water. Alcohol for the rest of it. I made sure to get all of the gunk on the rollers too.

Only problem is I have no SNES to try it out on. Though thats how I clean any normal mouse so it should work just fine.
