Old enough to remember the 2600 and a lot of the NES generation, but my Parents bought a PC instead of a console. So I ended up learning to program instead. Too cheap to buy games for the PC so I wrote my own. So classic gaming is a chance to play the titles I heard about but missed out on owning. Well thats how it started at least, now I just collect because I like to collect and it always fun to find something you don't have.

Plenty of people seem to love PDZ from the reactions on the XBOX boards so I don't think everyone hates it. Seems to be popular online also.

Halo 2 by far. I actually think the game isn't really all that groundbreaking or special in terms of new ideas etc... But man I can't get enough of it online. Classic wise... GB Tetris Asteroids Umm way to many others to list.

ZORK I Got me into gaming and programming all at the same time. The rents were too cheap to buy games so I wrote my own. Now I write code all day.... Oddly enough, I don't love RPGs though, hate most of them in fact.

Ive got it on the xbox, and its clearly a solid title. Not a classic, but not crap either. Not to mention the cell shading is pretty cool for the most part.

From the sounds of things and through a little searching, it looks like the SNES was one of the most liked consoles of all time game wise.

Halo 1 and Halo 2 are all that really matter.... No seriously they are the most balanced and well done. Halo 2 being the better of the bunch option wise. You can tweak your own game types and there are now plenty of maps to be had large and small.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. Ill be certain to look into them. Sounds like I may need to track down a SNES one of these days too. We had the Sega instead so we missed out.

Buronout 3 just doesn't have the flavor of Burnout 2... Im gonna miss the 2K series... Where is EA going to get their "new" features now? Not to mention Sega was finally smart enough to realize that sports titles shouldn't be $50 each year!!!! Anyways, EA "All your IPs are belong to us!!!".... Well considering that I have an LE console, and I can now sell it used for more than I paid, Id say its collectable. Same with the other LE consoles. The Kasumi console from Japan being one of the bigger sellers. Ive seen them for up to $600 for the console. However, there are numerous titles that have sold very very few titles. I doubt they will ever be huge, but in 20 years who knows?

Looks great, but who is going to buy it??? Third GBA platform now. They should have dropped the GBA line and created a true gameboy replacement. At least something with true analog controls. The DS sucks for 3D game control.

Nothing Revolutionairy thus far about the Rev. I already own all of the old titles I have any interest in playing, and the correct hardware to play them on, so I have zero desire to buy them again. Remember, Nintendo just recently sold the old NES titles for $20 on the GBA. Hardly a bargin when I can still find the originals for 50 cents. If they show something revolutionairy, Ill pick it up. Otherwise, Ill stick to the consoles gearing up for the future rather than relying on Mario to sell games. Anyone notice the number of Mario titles shiping!!!!

360 is backward compatible.... Pretty common knowledge now at least.

Well the DC had windows CE and no viruses. The xbox is windows based and no viruses. I highly doubt the 360 is going to see viruses. After all, the content on live has to pass an MS review before anything is released to the public. Im sure the policy will stay the same. Its MS why wouldn't they run and OS on it? As for backward compatability, no one knows for sure at this point. We will on thursday though. Some say with the extra HD will come extra content and bacwards compatability??? Nothing official yet, but soon enough. Halo 2.5 is also a rumor too.??? Sounds like you have already dismissed the console why continue to trash talk it without any official knowledge???

TETRIS is all that you need to put that GB to good use. Best game out there, and plenty cheap...

Well first off, the controller is supposed to be rechargable, and the jack on the bottom is for the new XBOX LIVE headset. Second, LIVE support is supposed to continue, and there will be multiple levels of LIVE next Gen. Finally, if you look close, the silver logo appears to be a trackball of sorts. Notice the numbers surounding it. Some type of controller at least. The remote has the same thing.
