Yeah, it works great to get you started. But a progressive scan DVD player is much better. You can't use a DVD player to play on LIVE though. I have never really noticed the noise level of my XBOX though. Everyone seems to complain, but I really don't see the big deal. I guess I can't hear it over the dolby digital.

It is made for big kids. No, giant handed children. -

Yes, the I noticed the suspicious labels also. -
Well you could simply be required to post scores during a certain time period. Say Friday lunch to Saturday, or simply post scores on saturday??

What is the point of a mame cabinet? Don't you have to own a copy of each game rom? I see cabs for sale with roms and rom disks. Not to mention the large number of mame projects, but how do they deal with actually getting the games?

Thats the insentive to win. You get to pick the game for the next week.

Im down for a 2600 game of the week club/contest/competition/etc... Here is my suggestion. Play up until midnight friday and the winner for that week picks the game for the next week. Or if you wanted to get really serious you could get some custom patches made up? Maybe an Atariage high score patch?

Thanks. Yeah, the XBOX is pretty heavy. Loud too. I think Id crush it though if I tried. Some might suggest that actually. I am going to re work the picture though as soon as the weather gets nice enough. Ive done a little work on the heep, and I want to tweak the proportions some.

Missing the one I need. Nice collection though.

LIVE is the clear winner between the two. BB online. Upgrades. DL content for almost all LIVE games and many non LIVE games. Pay to play for a whole year or monthly. Dedicated servers for many games. Voice without lag. Not to mention HALO 2 in a few months.

Yeah, Ive got most of the US games. Not great, but still fun for a few minutes at least.

I can't stop shopping for carts! My focus now is on finishing up my Activision collection. Im now a little more than half finished. Only about 20 left. Then Im going for the US Games collection. I didn't get to experience a lot of these games as a kid because we got a computer instead. Now I get to experience a lot of these games for the first time. Im seriously hooked because many of them are actually fun compared to most current offerings.

Yes, I do not have this. Im looking to pay less than $8 shipped. I can never seem to find it for less than that on ebay and I haven't seen a copy in the wild either. Can anyone help me?

For that much I shouldnt have said anything.

Ill take $149.99, but 129 would have been much better. Either way, Ill be picking up a second XBOX.

Those are awesome!!!

20 Years working with a single piece of hardware helps some too. Imagine what homebrews for the XBOX will look like in 20+ years! For that matter, imagine homebrews for the 2600 in 5 or 10 years. As for Homestar RPG, It looks awesome. Ill be getting a copy for sure. We are big Homestar fans in our family.

Anyone else???

Asteroids was the game I had to have and play as a kid. Then pole position. Wasted as much as I could get my hands on with those two.

5 buttons = up down left right fire on a normal joystick? Rotate left, Rotate right, boost, warp and fire? Thanks again.

Im building a kiosk of sorts and would like to build in as much support as possible without having to plug controllers into the kiosk. Was there a game that made use of all 5 buttons on the five button controller? Thanks for the input.
