  1. Ive heard of flyfishing widows before, Im sure video game widows isn't all that far off. I always like to remind my wife that if she needs to yell at me, at least she knows where to find me. On the couch playing video games. Sure beats spending my time drunk at the bar. I just hope my children share my effinity for video games. My poor wife is a fly-fishing, jeep and video game widow. Maybe I should bring some flowers home and tell her how much I love her... My point was Im sure a group for this wouldn't be too far fetched, and Im sure there is going to be video game addicts groups. There are some out there, and It will only grow with time. I know you said you probably won't make it out for PC6, but hey, if by chance you do, and you're up for it, I'll take you out to some local trout streams great for flyfishing I grew up in the area. Learned to fish on Manetawny Creek and spent a lot of time up at skipack creek too. Spent a ton of time fishing the tailwaters up at Green lane too. Used to love watching all the fish there as a kid. Many years ago though. We will hopefully be living out in Colorado then so Ill have plenty of new territory to cover with a fly rod.
  2. The 2600 games and the genesis don't sound terrible. There are some that sell rarity 2 carts for $5... The genesis doesn't sound like a terrible price, granted they can be found for much much cheaper. The gameboy games on the other hand are a bit steep. Though I would argue that tetris is worth more than $15 considering how much time can be wasted / enjoyed playing the game.
  3. I love video game golf. (Love the real thing more ) What is the best golf game on the NES? Now that I have one, a NES, I need to track down a great golf game for it. There seem to be plenty to choose from. So far Ive played Nes Golf which is on a multi cart that I have. Other than that, nothing. You all provided plenty of help before and Im sure you will this time, so thanks a bunch.

  5. My wife loves Super Mario 3 and Mario Kart, thats about it. She also owns me in Super Mario 3 by the way. She had a NES as a kid, and I got a PC so she has it memorized. I got her to play Halo 2 and she hated most of it. Thats about it. I usually play games when she is reading her books. Once we have a baby though I doubt Ill ever get to play consoles anymore, and it will be time for portable gaming.
  6. My wife is ok with it as long as it doesn't hurt the budget. Ocassionally she will help me look. The best part though, is that my mother in law finds carts for me all the time. Yes, my mother-in-law. She is awesome.
  7. Kinda defeats the idea of a portable, but very sweet non the less.
  8. teh psp will roxorz the DS.... Anyways, currently they are marketed at two different groups. Given a price drop of the PSP will change that though. $300 of system and game is easily console territory for most gamers and I doubt the PSP will produce killer sales numbers at that price. Its hard to swallow a handheld in that price range especially when the major handheld has sold for much less for years now. Though in the age of $300 Ipods, this might change some. Though to some of us, the $300 Ipods are about $100 more than you should be paying for the same storage space. In the end, I think the PSP is going to be HUGE next christmas unless Nintendo has a suprise. I would imagine there will be a solid price drop, and quite a selection of titles by then. Ship GTA around that time and it will maybe even outsell the new xbox. I don't think its hard to see that many want the system very much, just not at the current price point. I would even say more want the PSP than the DS.
  9. I want a portable system with actual storage space for my mp3s. Sony came close, but didn't quite make it. I doubt Nintendo will cross over, so hopefully MS will ship one that will replace my current MP3 player. Then Id have one less thing to cary and I could play Halo wherever I wanted to. That would be really nice. Throw in Splinter Cell and Project Gotham and Im set for a while.
  10. A few years ago, they had thought about it but scratched it quickly. Now that they are seeing the success of the PSP, I would imagine they may be thinking about it again. Maybe in a few years, but I think the X2 is their main focus and should be.
  11. I might mention that I still see New blister pack N64 controllers from time to time in EB. Third party, but would work for a while at least. Something to consider at least. Better than a worn out original.
  12. It looked to me that these were using custom PCBs?? Maybe I mis read the blog. Ill have to read through it again.
  13. Voice communication during Halo2 without lag and we can't get 2600 across the net???
  14. Why aren't they in the 2600 database???
  15. Thanks Im a noob... Use the search.... When I get the case done Ill post some pictures up. I still need to finish my arcade cab first though. Just wanted something nice to display the fronts of a few of my carts. Plenty of end labels but not much of the actual artwork.
  16. What are your favorite game lables. Not necasarily by company, but which specific labels are your favorites? Id like to build a display case to show off some of the neat 2600 front labels. I don't have a huge collection so Im looking for some carts I may not know about. For me it has to be each of the Special Activision lables. (Hero, Private Eye, Beamrider) I also love the Red Label Games with the color picures. I love the US game lables too. Neat pictures Some of the Pirate carts have some neat lables too.
  17. The nice thing about 2600 games is they don't have all the logos and splash screens of games on newer consoles. Most 2600 games don't even have a title screen! Pop the game in, hit the fire button or reset, and you're playing! ..Al The new trend is in game advertisements. It is just starting to really ramp up. Pepsi, Sobe, etc... Soon it will be part of most major games. Exactly what I need in my games, advertisements. On a seperate note, why is it that there are so many ads prior to movies these days???
  18. 4 more carts to hit 200.... Just looking for a good price is all. Blackjack Championship Soccer 3D Tic-Tac-Toe Demons to Diamonds Dodge 'Em Hangman Othello Super Baseball Superman Vanguard Venture
  19. Give me a minute and Ill get a quick picture. Basically its just the "Not for Resale" printed on the front and DVD of the Game of the Year adition. Not much else different.
  20. Yeah, I forgot super smash brothers. Another great party game. After that there are a bunch of other titles that are high quality, but depend on you tastes in games.
  21. Hey its a one off, must be worth something right...
  22. Ive got the copy with my LE xbox but I cant part with it. I will give you a free bump though. You may be able to find a copy at gamestop or eb though.
  23. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5967075345&rd=1
  24. My mother in-law picked up Mike Tysons Punchout, Paperboy, Contra, Bases Loaded and Baseball all for $.25 a piece. Ive got most of my family helping with the cause and Id say $1.25 for 5 games is a good deal when I couldn't find contra for that much alone without shipping...
  25. Must haves IMHO: Mario Kart Diddy Kong Racing 007 aka Bond Perfect Dark Mario 64 Both Zeldas From there its a matter of personal choice. The first 4 are some of the best party games of all time. Especially Mario Kart and Bond.
