  2. Thanks to the awesome Ksarul who gifted me the computer! I just love the polished metal on this thing but I have to say it's a bit terrifying to set up! The large RF modulator brick and then the dongle that glued to the end of the power cord! I can't wait to pick up stuff to play on this thing! So uhhh where is the back space...?
  3. I've been going to various flea markets recently and I keep finding really crusty Ti-99/4a RF modulator bricks but never the computer. Anyone else got some TI-99/4a's around your area.

  7. I'm here on the west end of Henrico country. So... pretty much a stones throw from Richmond. Wanted to pick one of these bad boys up for my 18th B-Day
  8. I'm here in Virginia! The TI-99/4a looks gorgeous... although I might just be a sucker for polished metal.

  11. Wooowww... I lucked out with my 5$ bill! Hmmm any neat things that I should know of for the 800Xl Any games that are a must play? Edit I also have to say I really like the feel of the 800XL... I kinda want to look for a normal 80 because of the 2 cart slots... I saw something too a while ago but never picked it up... It was called like an Atari programmer and had a zx81 type keyboard I think
  12. Oh I have to ask... why is my power brick the most desirable? And I might have to repair the cord soon it's starting to come apart with age
  13. I've been collecting Commodore for a while and been hanging out over on Lemon64. I found the computer in a bin out there and after I bought it the son or something went... Hey we found these too take em! I doubt the drive is working but its worth a shot I mostly picked up ET for the name alone. I run a retro tech club at my high school. And... well a good chunk of folks thing ET/Atari to the story about em being buried in the desert.
  14. Hey ther a couple months ago I picked up an Atari 800XL and a drive from a flea market for a whopping 5 dollars! It works wonderfully but the only problem is I don't have the power supply or the serial cable for the drive! I did pick up a cart of ET later on though! Anyways it works wonderfully! The computer anyways not sure about the drive since I have no cables for it! Anything I should know about this computer? It's been a blast so far without any way to save -Papa_Bear
