the only reason im not getting a c64 for my collection is the worry of reliablity issues. i would love to have one as i used to own one with about 200+ disks in the late 80's and early 90's.....
-
which basically limits u to the most basic games like pac man , space invader and the like....
dont even think about sf2, double dragon or anything made after say 1986
-
mame on DC is slow...so slow that any game rom over 100k has severe problems........
-
just as everyone was gettitng ataris and c64, my parents bought me a
commodore c16.......
grrrrrrrrr...
the damn thing was sooo bad, there was just about no software for it and any that was was sooo bad........i traded it in on a c64 later....

i never saw them in the shops in australia....weird eh?

-
just wondering, is PAL motorodeo worth anything? is it any where near the rarity of the ntsc version?

-
those darn NTSC collectors are going to schnavell everything up from here

-
surprisingly the following pal spectravision carts fetched a recently high price on ebay:
Bumber Bash - Au$169
Gas Hog - AU$110
Master Builder - AU$76
these were all boxed,
im happy as i already own a master buillder cart which i got in a atari and 20 games package for AU$33....

-
hmmmm
my game gear seems to ficker for about 5 mins when first turned on, with no contrast adjustability, and then it goes ok.
whats wrong here?

-
yes there is a LOT of SMS stuff over here in australia as it was quite popular here.....

-
yeah, in australia they were sold all the way into the 90's.
i remember seeing them in kmart in 92-93 for about $30 and laughing at them. ( now i wish i bought one lol )
they seized production of them in the US in 1989 ? i think
also the 128 in 1 console wuld have been released in the 90's in aus also.
nice to hear from people from australia

-
for the intelliviosion, i use bliss32 or nostalgia (thats the names of the emulators ) but for these ull need a copy of the bios rom and graphics rom.
(called exec.bin and grom.bin)
for collecovision i use VColecoWin_211A.

wow this cart just sold for an unbelievable AU$139.36
Winning bid: AU $139.26
Ended 15-Apr-04 18:38:49 AEST
You are invited to bid on an ultra rare chance to own a copy of Magnia for the 2600.
This is rated 10 out of 10 for rarity on atariage.com and is one of the hardest games you are every likley to locate.
It follows the story of a kid who has to eat everything his mother puts on the plate for him.
Pasta after more pasta eating earning more and more points.
What a chance is this to own the infamous Mangia game...

since the atari controllers work on my coleco, i will try to plug in my coleco controller nto the atari and play star raiders as i dont have the video touch pad.....
hang on a sec.........
DAMN in dont work!!!!!!!!! which is odd as i get more response when i plug in a sega megadrive controller in port 2 (still cant play though )
which is a shame actually as ive been hanging to play star raiders for bloody LONG tome now...hehe
