  1. my commodore paddles work on my pal 2600 fine on most games, but the calibration sensitivity setting is differnt than original atari paddles. they will work on most games fine, but on some like night driver, the sensitivity is too slow, and u cant really play. ok on breakout though.
  2. the yanks consider ntsc ikari warriors as kinda rare....
  3. oddly i lve in australia and have a pal atari 2600 and 7800. so far i found that all my carts work on my 2600, but SOME of the activivsion carts will not work on my 7800. Also neither will the imagic ones. stange as this is as enduro racer works fine on my 7800 but megamanina and chopper command will not work. ????????
  4. thanks for the info,,but i will stay out of the vintage computer category, even though i would really like a c64 as i used to own one between 1986 and 1992. i think i will stick to emulators for my computers, as its not that much different than original c64 (the computer emulators seem more realistic when i front of a pc compared to console emulators) and ive put a big commodore badge on my pc case and keyboard. lol To me , its a C64 system, running windows in the background.
  5. Hi weasel!! im from australia too, and yes it is a bit tough to find atari stuff here, except on ebay. i have about 60 carts (which pales to some of the collections on here ) but its a good start. im currently collecting for all systems, but concentrating on atari the most. if u have any doubles u would like to get rid off, feel free to msg me.
  6. Thanks!! Wow, sounds pretty good,
  7. One question Im not new to emulation, having a running emulator for nearly every system and have not have to much trouble configuring them to run properly. BUT When it comes to MESS i have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how to make it run and emulate even the most common system. I tried it a FEW times with no success, can anyone help?
  8. YES commodore amiga/c64/atari/sega have the same controller port and can be exchangable. ( Also for my coleco i usually take one controller out and plug in a normal atari one as they are better ) The only thing thats kept me out of the vintage computer collecting is reliablity issues with disk drives and tapes. ANyone care to shed some light on this issue?
  9. theres a LOT of text adventures written for the C64 emulator. these can be downloaded from GB64. i doubt that anyone has ever played them all as they number in hundreds. So if u cant find any new ones, give these a burl (and yes ZORK is the adventure seies )
  10. just one questio... since im from australia, half the stuff never made it here. What is an ATARI stunt cycle? is it a console? controller? please enlighten me
  11. people are actually bidding on this, its jumped from AU$1 to AU$10. and 3 days to go...... hmmmmmmmm
  12. If ure really keen, SCott Adams, the one who wrote the original adventures on the early commodores has converted all hes adventures to run on Windows. They can be downloaded from his site http://www.msadams.com/ Its worth taking a look!!!
  13. its shocking how much 'rare' and 'extremely rare' crap theres on ebay. so i gather this carts not worth acquiring? is it better to go for the original atari cart? i havent placed any bids on it.
  14. Same ...i also only have about 60 carts so am missing a whole heap of commons.
  15. thanks for informing the misinformed
  16. im no expert, but secret quest came out in 1989 (my PAL one did anyways) and it was completely programmed by Nolan Bushnell himself. Its a 16k cart i believe? but i do not kno which was the last produced atari cart.
  17. can anyone explain this? You are bidding on an Atari gameTotally rare Phoenix - you know what you're looking at here... one of those ultra rare prototypes distributed to a select few!. This PAL format game comes complete in original box and is in excellent condition; tested and working. Comes with instruction booklet too! 2 [/img]
