  1. I use a Elmer's glue stick. Works great.
  2. Maybe this was a present and the person giving the game couldn't peal the tag off, so the person just ripped it off?
  3. Having an issue with the Driver installation. Windows keeps saying "The last USB device malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it". I have tried multiple times with different cords and same result.
  4. I have never noticed that. But, in some games, the joy stick acts as the fire button.
  5. I use the Colleco Gemini controller alot. My family had(I have it now) the Gemini system back in the early/mid 80's, so that was the controller I grew up with. I almost prefer this system to the VCS, even though I have a Jr. hooked up now.
  6. With everyone using this card for homebrews, I wouldn't be surprised if, one day, this is the actual price for this cart.
  7. Wow. I have never had a problem with Activision carts. Some of the ones I play was bought brand new and got alot of play time. Like Stampede. My dad, me, and my brother played that game ALOT back in the day and it still works great today. I guess I must be lucky. Now the M Network cart of Burger Time I got for Christmas like 2 years ago I can't get to work at all, even after multiple cleanings.
  8. I heard you can plug your 2600 into a VCR, then hook that up to a HDTV and that should work. I haven't tried it yet to see if it actually works.
  9. We didn't have an NES, but did have a Coleco Gemini that got a ton of play time in the 80's. A neighbor kid across the street used to bring his NES over so we could play. My brother really wanted an NES, but ended up getting a 2600 Jr. for his birthday. So, that got some play time. Not long after, a NES did come and the 2600 was put away. In the late 90's, my little sister started playing the 2600, while we played SNES, N64, etc. Then, about 6 years ago, I brought the 2600 back out and started collecting for it, so it is loved once again, even with a PS5 and a Switch in the house. Intellivision, Colecovision, Odyssey 2, and the 7800 has since joined it. But, yeah, for a time, the 2600 was played during the beginning of the NES years growing up, because that was all we had.
  10. I still play Pac-Man, Asteroids, Atlantis, Pitfall, Frogger, and many more.
  11. A little late, but I hope everyone had a safe and merry Christmas.
  12. For those of us in the USA, I hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I know I did.
  13. The 2600 was the "better" version. I grew up playing a Coleco Gemini and even that felt like a cheap knockoff at the time. Now, I almost prefer the Gemini and want a Sears console.
  14. No one has jumped on this yet? It's almost a steal!
  15. The Gemini was the first 2600 style system we had back in the early 80's and we played it ALOT. It's a really good system and I actually prefer the controller over a standard 2600 controller, but that's just me being used to playing with one. Plus the controller has both a stick and paddle all in one. I still have the system and it still works.
  16. I have to agree, E.T. isn't the worst game ever. Try playing King Kong, or Hong Kong 97 on NES. Then there is Superman 64 and Fantastic Four for PS1, and many others. So there are alot worse out there.
  17. Snoopy vs. The Red Baron. A really fun game that I didn't know existed till about 2 years ago when I bought it.
  18. My brother and I were just talking about this today. We had a friend across the street who had NES and he would bring it over and we would play it. We basically forgot about the 2600 because of this. He wanted a NES bad and ended up getting a 2600 Jr. for his birthday. We were both pretty bummed out, but made the most of it. Not long after, a NES did come into the family and the 2600 was left on the side of the road. My sister ended up with the system when she was young in the mid 90's while we played SNES, then N64 and so on, because we were playing the "better" systems. It wasn't until about 4 years ago that I started collecting for the 2600 and now we are back to playing the 2600. I appreciate the system way more now then back then in the 80's. Granted, my family had a lot of fun playing the 2600, but when Nintendo hit, it just fell by the way side.
  19. it's not the greatest one player game, but with two people, it's fun. Get Firefighter and see who can rescue everyone the quickest.
  20. I never played Intellivision growing up, even though I knew about it. I had a Coleco Gemini instead. But, a friend in grade school said he had one with B-17 and the Intellvoice, but he never let me come over to play it. It wasn't until about 3 years ago when I came across a bunch of boxed games at a thrift store that I finally had some games and was able to get a system off Ebay, so, the games are pretty good, but the controller has a lot to be desired. The biggest problem I have with it is the cord for the controller. It's not long enough and it's connected to the system, which kinda sucks, but otherwise, it is a cool, fun system that I am now collecting for.
  21. I have the Coleco Mouse Trap and Donkey Kong Gemini carts that came with my OG Gemini, but these never came with the box, they were just carts. I have never seen a box with this before. Interesting and cool find.
  22. I am currently playing on a Jr. I should switch it out for my Coleco Gemini. I do want to somehow start streaming Atari games on original hardware.
  23. I love collecting factory errors, misprints, etc. I don't have any for videogames, but I do have a few action figure screw ups.
