That's kind of cool! I almost bought an old Dell Laptop today, but decided against it. I too had problems with Windows ME. I remember it being frustrating because they stripped out DOS and when things went Kaplooey . As someone else mentioned earlier once Windows XP came along I never looked back. That was one stable OS compared to Windows ME, 98SE, and Windows 95.

But I can't deny there is kind of a neat nostalgic factor to Windows 95 and the fun themes in 98SE.

I was always curious about 9x when I was younger, especially 98SE and ME. I installed ME because it had the best mix of Classic Windows (old screensavers, 98 layout, older versions of Windows programs) and Windows XP (ease of use, system restore, Flourish Town and Onestop MIDIs). I got my first computer when I was 5 and it had Windows XP. While it's still my favorite OS, I've always desired to use a 9x Windows on a daily basis with real hardware.
