I haven't made many videos like this before, but I really enjoy them because of how much fun it is to smash worthless electronic devices. Today I smashed 2 identical CD players together to some Neo Geo music.

Hey guys, here's myself as Terry Bogard smashing CD players to some Neo Geo music!

A new version of my remix of Cammy's Theme from Super Street Fighter II.

Why did King just jump out of the background in the Korean stage in KOF 94 and kick Choi? I was playing as Mai at that moment so is it possible that it was one of her moves?

Hello to you all,
I'm totally new to the Neo-Geo universe but it was suggested (by Fdurso) that I give it a blast for my YouTube channel. Normally I go through ZX81 and ZX Spectrum games (with the occasionally old Tech and PS2 game piece creeping in). I'm rather well versed in a number of classic machines however - as a child - seeing the Neo-Geo in the computer magazines (I bought) was always a pipe dream, with wonders of what an actual £150 game would actually play like.
I've looked on eBay and still today the prices are far to high for me to invest in one, but I'm lead to believe that there isn't any snobbery when it comes to emulation of the Neo-Geo. I know it would be great to use the actual machine, but honestly unless I find one in a local Charity Shop or on a Carboot Sale I truthfully don't think I'd be able to pick one up.
So I'm interested in giving the Neo-Geo a good blast. I'm new to the machine, I'll be looking for a decent emulator and a list of games that won't find me instantly hating the pseudo-machine. I know this may frustrate some players and I consider FFVII as one of my favourites, but suggesting 29+ hour long JRPG's won't make me a happy gamer. They may be groundbreaking, but to me...
Any help, advice, pointers etc would be greatly appreciated. I shan't spam my channel link here in the opening introduction, but I'm going to set up my profile and I'll see if I can drop it into my signature their if anyone wants to take a watch.
So hello and thank you for any help you can pass on.
A good place to start is SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 on PS2. It has several of SNK's early fighting games as well as some classic beat-em-ups, shooters, and sports titles. This compilation features the MVS versions of these games and the emulation is excellent.

Hey guys, I'm Dallas, a 17-year-old retro gaming enthusiast and aspiring film maker. Since late 2016, I've been running a YouTube channel that was originally going to be strictly Dreamcast, but within the first few months that was quickly changed so I could primarily focus on even older platforms. I am very passionate about retro games and consoles because like people from the 70s, 80, and 90s, I grew up with these games, experiencing 2600 titles when I was only 5, a full year before playing (at the time) modern consoles.
For my videos, I try my hardest to make them as spectacular as possible. To familiarize yourself with what I do, I have selected 3 of my best videos that great representations of my filming, editing, acting, remixing, and reviewing skills. I like making my content lighthearted and comedic, but some of my future videos will be far more serious while still containing some humor to make it enjoyable for everyone, such an upcoming short film based on The King Of Fighters.
Fatal Fury: King Of Fighters Review. My latest video that combines cringey live action and awesome VGM remixes with a comedic and informative review.
Cammy's Theme Symphonic Rock Remix. Currently my favorite remix with an awesome video to go with it.
The Search For The Floppy Disk 2. A cringey short film designed to be as ridiculous and comedic as possible while showcasing my filming and editing skills.
Thank you all for watching these. I hope you enjoyed viewing them as much as I enjoyed making them. New content is on its way very soon so be sure to come back for more Dreamcast Gamer awesomeness!

Hey guys, here's a short film I just made with some cringey SNK-style fighting scenes (mostly the sound effects used).

Anytime Dallas. No need to rush on the video. When it's ready, will be ready as well.

Anthony..
Yeah, it'll probably be delayed again XD. I'm really busy this weekend.

Around $200-$250 dollars at the time Dallas. Yeah. It was a rich mans products.
Me and Reaperman had this discussion at one time saying that the MVS carts would cost around $1000-$2000 per kit at the time enoofu. I wonder if an official SNK price sheet was available. I would like to see those numbers.
Anthony...
Thanks guys. I needed that info for the Fatal Fury review. I'm desperately trying to get it out tomorrow morning.

Quick question. How much did most AES games cost at launch?

It is not identical. It's only cosmetically similar. The internals are completely different.
That sucks. They should make one that plays both and also supports Master System games!
-
Isn't the hardware identical to the Genesis portable? If so, can I somehow run Atari games on mine?
-
Here's a bizarre live stream going on right now that's literally just Yuri Sakazaki repeatedly giving a thumbs up and an MSPaint photo in the background displaying some gaming icons and money. This makes absolutely no sense.

Hey guys. Today at 5:00 P.M. CST, I'm playing Art Of Fighting 2 for the SNES live!

Maybe this can help you Dalla.
SNK licensed a soundtrack called "SNK Sounds Collection" by Scitron Records. Its in regards to the sound effects and voices of SNK characters. Maybe they have what you're looking for.

Anthony..
I found Geese, but not Terry. I'd also like either Joe or Michael Max.

Does anybody have a collection of all the sound effects and voice samples from the first Fatal Fury? I need them right away.

Pretty amazing that you got 2.1 to run on a P4.
As for the 1GB RAM question, yes -- 1024MB is too much. Once it goes over 1000 MB, programs like Photoshop think that the RAM is back to zero again. Then it starts counting up from there. It kind of wraps around, leaving you with very little RAM to work with.
ME was a mess on that PC, but the one I run it on now is perfect. I still have no idea how I got 2.1 to work.

It's been filmed! The live action is so cringey that it's just awesome! I will try to add the special effects in like power wave and burning knuckle, but even if I don't, it still looks great (I'll be adding the voice samples though).Sounds good Dallas. The more content, the better. No need to rush. When it's ready, will be ready as well.

If it's even later, it's because I've done some live action fighting for the credits. I'm filming that tonight and I might add special effects (power wave!)Ooooh, we can't wait to see it Dallas. The suspense is really getting to us.

Will be ready to see it for sure my man.

Happy 19th Birthday Dreamcast!
in Classic Console Discussion
Posted · Edited by Dreamcast Gamer
Technically the Dreamcast will be 20 on November 27th because it was first released in Japan. I prefer to go by the first launch date for a console's birthday rather than the launch date in my own region.
I was born three weeks before the Dreamcast's discontinuation was announced. While I grew up with retro consoles such as the 2600, NES, Genesis, Playstation, and N64, the Dreamcast was one that I completely missed. I remember seeing Dreamcast peripherals at my local video game store on January 9th, 2009, but I was there buying a brand new GameCube so I didn't have much time to look around. I don't remember seeing much Dreamcast stuff again for several years. Every once in awhile I'd hear about the Dreamcast, but I knew almost nothing aside from it being Sega's last console and the platform the Sonic Adventure games were originally released for.
In early 2016, I was with some friends at another friend's house with all the latest consoles. I asked out of curiosity if they had anything older and to my surprise they pulled out not one, but two Dreamcasts! I had never seen one before, at least not that I can remember. After that weekend, I became obsessed with Sega. I had always been a huge Sega fan as a child (I bought the GameCube to play Sonic Heroes) and I already had a Genesis and a Game Gear so it was time for me to start collecting!
I went to my flea market that June and found both a Dreamcast and Master System for $75 each. I was torn between the two. I have an easier time trying out random 8-Bit and 16-Bit games than I do with anything from the fifth or sixth generation of gaming and I knew that I'd have no problem doing that with the SMS, but the Dreamcast would be a console I'd probably buy only a few games for and then neglect. Nevertheless, I went for the Dreamcast and became OBSESSED with it. I even created a YouTube channel, Dreamcast Gamer, that was intended to be dedicated to the console, but that didn't last long (though I kept the name) and I started making videos for every platform, even non-gaming videos like "HATSUNE MIKU VS WINDOWS XP" or "The Death of the CRT Television". I lost interest around Christmas time that year when I started focusing on other consoles, especially the 2600.
I still play my Dreamcast every now and then, but no matter how awesome it is, it never kept me hooked as long as other consoles have. Even my GameCube is rarely played anymore despite Sonic Heroes being my favorite game of all time because it got me into console gaming (before I played that, all I knew was Windows XP gaming). I do play my PS2 quite a bit, but that's because I have several Neo Geo compilations on there. I guess the 8-Bit and 16-Bit era has simply become my priority these days. I love the fifth, sixth, and Win9x/XP era of gaming too and recently I have been gaming on an HP Pavilion a1610n Media Center PC running Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 that I upgraded so now I can max graphics settings in Doom 3, Quake 4, and well, run Crysis at medium settings XD. However, while I certainly love this computer, I can't see myself collecting XP games. I'll buy the odd one and enjoy an amazing 3D gaming experience with surround sound, but I'd still want my 8-Bit and 16-Bit games and consoles more. I guess that's why I lost interest in the Dreamcast. It's a great console, but it's just not my passion like the Master System.
Still, the Dreamcast is still special to me and I hope to start it up again soon and finally complete the Sonic Adventure story mode that I began over a year ago.
Happy Birthday North American Dreamcast!
