  1. I didn't know about this. It's interesting. I used to have a FB9.
  2. I never heard of that one. Is it a sequel? Lol.
  3. Good to know. You would like the 2600 version. It's very basic of course but still fun. There are 6 game modes. I've always just played the default mode. It's nice when consoles have their own bowling games. Some are better than others. When I play bowling games, usually it's for the single player only. As for golf, I'm not as good at it compared to bowling. But I still enjoy it. I don't play many golf games. Speaking of golf though, there is Ninja Golf. How about Ninja Bowling? Lol.
  4. I think it's good. The side view is odd. But it doesn't bother me that much. You get used to it. There probably wasn't a way to make it look vertical due to programming or design. That homebrew Strike Zone Bowling has the vertical view which is nice. I really hope that game gets a physical cart.
  5. I got these games from Retro Raven. Squeeze Box is an odd one to say the least. I need to spend more time on it. I've heard of Strike Zone Bowling, hopefully a physical cart does come out. I would definitely buy it. I looked over the game lists for 5200, 7800 and even the Jaguar. As well as the Lynx. It's weird that none of these consoles had a single bowling game. Unless there's a homebrew I don't know about. I didn't check the game lists for the Atari computers. They may have had a bowling game or two. I guess it's just not popular enough. At least the 2600 had the one. It would've been nice if there was another in the 2600 library back in the day. I must be in the minority for bowling games. But anyway, I hope Atari will release an updated version of bowling or perhaps a whole new game of it for 2600 & 7800. It would look really good on the 7800 with the better graphics.
  6. Here are the 4 games that arrived today. They all work fine. Bowling (Telegames) is one I always liked. It's a classic. Too bad there were not more bowling games on Atari. Dragon Fire is good. Using the gamepad makes it easier to play. I can get farther. Squeeze Box is interesting. I don't think I ever played it before until now. Turmoil is a fun shooter. I'm glad it has auto fire.
  7. True. Lol. I'm not sure if it's a rip off of the arcade game Avalanche. It might be. By the way, there is a 2600 homebrew of Avalanche.
  8. I like both games. Kaboom is more difficult for me. But I still enjoy it. It's one I want to get but I don't have any paddles yet. I did preorder the stand alone pack. Once that comes, I can start playing some paddle games such as Kaboom. Also, Lost Luggage is like a clone of Kaboom. And, it seems like Lost Luggage could've been a paddle game with how it controls.
  9. Fun fact: The green label version doesn't have an intro scene. While the blue one does.
  10. I like both Space Cavern labels. Also, I have Lost Luggage. It's the blue label version. There is also a green label version as well.
  11. I got the email about this. It's neat but I'm not interested in getting it. But it would make for a nice collection piece.
  12. Okay. Maybe not have a cart that requires a certain way to play the games. But if the games were able to work via an analog stick, then that's good. Therefore, as I mentioned before, if Blaze had a controller/handheld with a D-pad & a stick, you could play the games with either one. For instance, if a new handheld came out from them that had both a D-pad and an analog stick, then it gives you 2 ways to play games. There are many handhelds with analog sticks & a D-pad. All I'm saying is, why can't Blaze do the same? Perhaps they don't want to or it's not something that interests them right now.
  13. Well it would have to be games that used an analog stick. So, if a collection of games released that required/supported a stick then there you go. I'm just saying that it would be nice if Blaze came out with a controller/handheld that had a stick. It's good to have options. Maybe a firmware update comes out that allows the games to work with one.
  14. I have more games on the way. There are 4 of them and they're loose carts.
  15. I like the color scheme of the new consoles. It reminds me of the 2DS XL with the black/turquoise. Maybe at some point Blaze can come out with a console that has an analog stick and the D-pad. Or just the analog stick. I like both but I prefer having an analog stick. Especially on the handheld. So, perhaps if an EXP2 comes out, it'll have that.
  16. I have an original VS too. But I haven't used it in a few months. Also, I don't have many carts in my collection. I'm waiting for some better collections to release. It'd be nice if one day there was a Saturn/Dreamcast collection.
  17. I know this has been posted in other threads about Champ Games. But I'll post it in my thread anyway. https://champ.games/f/tutankham-arcade-demo-roms-available-for-download I look forward to the physical version. I'll be picking that up once it releases.
  18. Retro Game Boyz has another cool looking gamepad for 2600/7800. Here's the link. https://retrogameboyz.com/products/atari-2600-7800-controller-2600-joystick-control-pad-gamepad-yars
  19. It runs on the default firmware. I never updated my console. The game just works. It's a 16K cart size, I wasn't sure if it was going to work. If it didn't, I would play it on my 7800. Most of my homebrews are 8K cart size. It really depends on the game. Some won't work even if the console is updated. Such as the Champ Games carts. I have one of their games but have to play it on my 7800.
  20. Here's the recent homebrew I got. It works on the 2600+. The game is fun. But there's a bit of a learning curve. It's not as easy as it looks. I crashed many times. Lol. I was able to land safely a few times. The controller I used was a custom 7800 gamepad. There are no game variations or difficulty settings. You get 3 lives then it's game over. If you like Lunar Lander, you'll enjoy this game. I'll be playing L.E.M. some more. I didn't get far enough to dodge the asteroids. Overall it's a good homebrew.
