Yo, NiCads are fine, so long as you discharge them fully before re-charging them...if you don't, they "remember" how much juice they have left, and will only allow that amount to be re-charged into them...but if they are fully drained, you can re-charge them fully...technology has even allowed for non-memory NiCads, and of course NiMH and LiIon cells are better...just my 2 cents.... 14.4
