Finished Gateway to the Savage Frontier last night, my 3rd gold box game. It had some nice improvements to the interface and memorable characters, but I still think I liked PoR and CotAB better. Time for a break, and then I'll go back to Silver Blades.

  Maybe try jumping to the Dragonlance ones? I never tried those but maybe they're enough of a flavor change from PoR to be worth trying?

  That's a good idea, I've never played the Dragon Lance ones before. I played PoR, CotAB nd Silver Blades on c64 back in the 80s/90s but never finished any of them. I still have the original manual and clue book for Silver Blades, so I'm tempted to try that next but it might be time for something different. I do a Gold Box game every other year or so. We'll see.
