Uh oh, I've gone down the rabbit hole of ripping my ps2 discs and playing via pcsx2. It works great, especially since my original ps2 died a few years back and I haven't gotten a replacement.

I tried pcsx for PS1, but even on my i7 it's pretty choppy and sound cuts out all the time. Playable, but not great. There are lots of options on that front, I'll have to check out XEBRA, thanks for the tip. PCSX2 runs great so far, but only played a couple games to test it out. Can't get it to recognize my discs, but maybe for the best, there isn't a real disadvantage to just making ISOs out of them.
