  1. And people said it couldn’t be done. I can’t wait to play the finished game.
  2. I watched the broadcast, too, and I was excited to say the very least. I’ve bought all of Champ Games’ releases so far, and this will be another Day 1 purchase for me.
  3. You make good points, Anthony. Maybe if SNK brought back more IPs (i.e. Crystalis, Ikari Warriors, Psycho Soldiers, etc) we’d see a more diverse SNK. If you’re reading this SNK, bring back your old IPs. Yes, I am happy to see KOF and the new Fatal Fury, but us fans want more!
  4. @Charlie Cat, what is your take on SNK today? Do you feel they should have released a new system (cartridge or CD) to secede the MVS and Hyper 64?
  5. I agree! I was blown away by the music when I played the game for the first time on my Amiga 500. The graphics, the parallax scrolling - it was an incredible thing to see back in the day.
  6. What an incredible choice! I love Shadow of the Beast. The PC-Engine version had enormous sprites and enhanced backgrounds. Imagine what a Neo-Geo release would be like!
  7. I wish SNK didn’t limit these sales to Japan only. Fans of SNK/NeoGeo are all over the world and I’m sure a satellite store like the one in the photos, would do well in big cities like Boston, New York, etc. This was always a problem with the NeoGeo also. SNK Japan was always hesitant to send a new game release to the West, because the home sales were nothing like they were in Japan. This is why there are two types of fans: NeoGeo fans and SNK fans. The former cares about the system and its games, while the latter cares more about the company and its modern IPs. I’m from the former - I love the Neo-Geo. SNK could have reintroduced a modern NeoGeo if they wanted to, but they won’t because the Hyper NeoGeo 64 failed outside Japan. This reason alone is why I am not a fan of SNK. Plus, I feel the modern releases of their games lack the energy and magic of the Neo Geo originals. 🤷 What can you do, you know?
  8. I finally had some chicken broth to help with my stomach. I considered going to Urgent Tale, but my stomach finally straightened out.
  9. I’m real sick today, guys. I’ve been throwing up all day. I am suffering from major fatigue too. I have no idea what I have, but it sucks badly.
  10. I’m just wondering if I should adjust that blue screw for only one game. I may buy another copy first to test.
  11. There are no pinholes on the CD, so I can summarize that my CDZ’s drive is just touchy. I could play the game on the Top Loader, but it defeats the purpose of upgrading to the CDZ. @shane857, you own a top loader unit, correct? If you do, you can have my Nam 75. I’ll cover shipping. I believe we should be kind to our fellow Neo Geo gamers. The game refuses to boot on my CDZ, so it’s worthless to me. I know it works on the Top Loader, so at least it will get some use from you.
  12. I’ll check the CD for rot damage and report back.
  13. I missed that fact. Thank you. Well… the manual has yellow pages and the front panel of the jewel case is missing the Neo-Geo logo in the top-right corner. So… a real copy, but fake everything else?
  14. The serial number on the back of the manual matches the one on the inner silver ring of the disc. Anything that says NGCD-01 is a fake.
  15. Using the video as a guide, there isn’t a single legitimate copy of Nam 1975 on eBay! Any game with the serial number NGCD-01 is a fake.
  16. This video explains everything. Yup, I own a fake! https://youtu.be/AV0fkAlxnqM?si=IU_LCDo4ptiFaPd-
  17. Should the inner silver ring have writing on it or not? I honestly can’t remember.
  18. The disc label looks off and its not flush with the Neo Geo logo.
  19. What’s the best way to clean a CD? Even though the disc is immaculate, there could be debris or a faint finger print on it.
  20. Here’s a legitimate copy! Notice how there is no writing on the inner, silver ring of the disc:
  21. Yup! That’s the game. It’s identical to those pictures too. Plus, the inside pages of the manual are like cheap newspaper. I should have checked a lot sooner! I lost $180!
