  2. Hey Guys,

Neo Mr. Do is coming to Neo Geo CD courtesy of Pixel Heart! Pre-order your copy today!

    https://www.pixelheart.eu/en/produit/punky-circus-neo-geo-cd-jpn/

    Description

Punky Circus (パンキー サーカス , in Japanese) is an puzzle action game.
Developed by Visco under the name of “Neo Mr. Do!” and and published by SNK in 1996 on Neo-Geo MVS (NGM 207).
Licensed by PixelHeart since 2020, the game has undergone some cosmetic changes (we’ve changed some of the visuals) and is now called Punky Circus.

In this game, you embody a clown navigating a vibrant world of animated drawings.
But beware! Along the way, you’ll be pursued by enemies! Defeat them using your power ball or by dropping specific elements from the environment. If you eliminate them all or collect all the items (Blue Torches, Carrots, Cherries depending on the levels…), you’ll complete the level and move on to the next.During the game, you can also gather letters to spell the word “EXTRA,” unlocking a bonus stage where you can strive for maximum points.
If you manage to collect 100 coins throughout the levels, you’ll be rewarded with an extra life.

Take advantage of a preferential rate by pre-ordering on our site: 24,90€ instead of 29,90€.

    Contents of the JPN edition:

Hey thank you so much! I look forward to playing it.

I just got my power cable in the mail today so I'll be working on that in the meantime.

Definitely appreciating all the love in this thread

Check your private messages. NAM 75 is on it’s way!

@ColecoGamer I completely understand it going to Shane or Anthony, but if they pass, and you decide I would be worthy of such a spectacular gift, I would cherish it in my collection. I understand it being a reproduction, but it's still a super cool topic of conversation. I'm still waiting on my first official game. I ordered King of Fighters from Japan so it's taking some time. Crazy overall, because my NGCD came in less than 5 days.

Once I get a game in and can have some input for this thread, I should be posting a lot more. haha

You can have it, Dopy. Shane doesn’t want it and Anthony already has an original copy. As long as you own a single-speed unit, the game will work fine. Free of charge, of course.

if you can provide your shipping details via p.m. tonight, I’ll mail it out tomorrow.

Thank you for the offer Mike. But I have that game in the collection. I appreciate you doing this for me, but that would be greedy and would rather see it in the hands to someone who doesn't have it. Maybe @shane857 @Dopy25 or @-^CrossBow^- would like it. :)

    Anthony...

@shane857 Would you like a free copy of Nam 1975 for your Neo-Geo CD? It works on the single-speed Top Loader, not the CDZ. I found a copy that works. Send your mailing address via PM, and I’ll send it out. It’s on me, man. No need to pay anything. This copy has no place in my collection, if I can’t play it.

Oh wow! That's awesome news to know Mike. Glad you have Magician Lord to add to the mix. What do you plan to do with the fake NAM-1975 bro? Still thinking of keeping it?

    Anthony..

I’m willing to give it to someone who wants it. It really doesn’t have a purpose here in my collection. You’re welcome to it if you want, Anthony.

I think the exact sentence was rather that it would be difficult or even impossible to make a pixel perfect because of the insufficient RAM on the Jaguar and/or the insufficient speed of the cartridge port as well as the particularity of these display modes compared to the majority of 2D arcade games of the time (tile mode and very large CLUT)

Your memory is better than mine! Thank you for chiming in!

Super Sidekicks came today. I now own two physical NEO-GEO CD games. This and Samurai Spirits 2.

I don't like 'serious' sports games like Fifa, John Madden, NBA. I do like Arcade style sports games thou like this...

Check out Street Hoops, Football Frenzy and Windjammers for some of the best sports games on Neo-Geo. Also, take a look at Baseball Stars 2!

    Really, who said that?

It happened during an argument a very long time ago, so I can’t honestly remember who said it. I believe the argument was about the Jaguar’s Object Processor, and how it wasn’t strong enough (or too buggy) to pull off a good port of Mortal Kombat.

    Hi Mike,

I personally feel that SNK is not in a position to release a new game system at this time. Yes, that would be great. But they just started to get back on track and now we are finally seeing investers taking interest in the company and spending the big bucks on SNK and franchises getting releases after years of lying dormant. Would be nice to see them do so. But at the current market, I feel they should concentrate on making software. I would like to see Ikari Warriors return or better yet, Crystalis. What a game that was. :)

    Anthony...

You make good points, Anthony. Maybe if SNK brought back more IPs (i.e. Crystalis, Ikari Warriors, Psycho Soldiers, etc) we’d see a more diverse SNK.

If you’re reading this SNK, bring back your old IPs. Yes, I am happy to see KOF and the new Fatal Fury, but us fans want more!
