Astro Invader coming soon for the Intellivision
ColecoGamer replied to retroillucid's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Impressive! Please add me to your pre-order list. This is completely off topic, but have you checked your email recently? Ive been waiting to receive a follow up response to those new sprites I submitted a couple of weeks ago. -
I’m really looking forward to getting one of these. Have you determined how much they will cost? The final price will determine how many I will buy when pre-orders open.

Here are some photos from our stay at Church Landing last Christmas. My wife can be seen checking out the balcony to our room in the first photo.

This excellent news! Thank you for the update.

Great scott! I love his artwork!

It’s a pretty high class place, believe it or not. My wife’s employer has their Christmas parties there every year (she works in Meredith), and the food, lodging and service are the best in the era. The place is divided into five lodging areas: Inn at Mill Falls, Chase House, Bay Point, Church Landing (where the Christmas party was held, and where we staid overnight) and the Cottages.

Funspot is a 54 minute drive from where I live, so as you can imagine, I visit there often on weekends. As for other places to visit: visit the Weirs Beach boardwalk the next time you come through. Theres a giant arcade there that has many rare coin-ops from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Edit: I forgot to mention what I meant by rare: he has cabinets that I havent seen since I was teenager. Its impossible to remember them all, but these immediately come to mind: Star Wars Arcade, X-Men (that giant wide-screen cabinet that supports 4-players), Capcoms AD&D, Q-berts Cubes (if I am remembering correctly; its been a couple of years since I last visited), etc.

Take my money already!

I know it’s only speculation at this point, but add me to the waiting list if/when the JagDuo comes to fruition.

Is this only compatible with Stella at the moment? I tried the rom on my Harmony Encore cart, but the screen would roll until I moved Mappy to the left side of the screen. After doing this, the rolling stopped and the first level was playable. But when the next level started, the screen rolled and I had to repeat the same process again (i.e. move Mappy to the left).

The Official Colecovision GRAB BAG for 2018
ColecoGamer replied to ColecoGamer's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Thats actually a good idea. Maybe for the first box, we start small? What about a Priority Mail box with these dimensions: 12 in x 12 in 5-1/2 in? USPS.com https://store.usps.com/store/product/shipping-supplies/priority-mail-apofpo-flat-rate-box-P_MILI_FRB Edit: Maybe for the first bag/box, we limit it to 10-15 people in the USA/Canada? Not to be rude to our international gamer friends across the pond or anything, but you made a good point regarding international shipping rates. -
Team Pixelboy News Bulletin - January 21st 2018

I can’t imagine using public transportation to ship that many packages. Respect is due to you, Pixelboy! -
I hope Vlad feels better soon. I spent the entire afternoon reading this thread in its entirety, and I want Vlad to know that I am truly impressed by the progress hes made on his 3D engine. The technical parts of this thread (when he started to post his notes regarding his engine) were a great read. As for you recording a video of his engine running on real Jaguar hardware: that would be very much appreciated!

What do you like about the Atari Jaguar?
ColecoGamer replied to Skippy B. Coyote's topic in Atari Jaguar
I owned an Atari Jaguar about 12 years ago. My favorite games were Alien vs Predator, Missile Command 3D and Ultra Vortex. What fascinated me about the Jaguar was its untapped potential as a console (it wasnt available long enough for developers to exploit its hardware). I still regret selling my collection, especially after discovering the hombrew scene here. Finding the Atari ST port thread(s) really excited me, especially when I saw the number of quality games ported to the system (i.e. Commando, Gauntlet, etc.). Then I discovered Reboot and their Atari Jaguar releases; Piko Interactive and their games Custodian and Switchblade; and many other releases for sale in the AtariAge store. I would love to purchase another Jaguar, but the prices have risen tenfold on eBay (even on bare units with one controller and all hook ups). But thats okay; Im a patient person who is willing to wait for the right deal to come his way. Edited for spelling. -
If I’m understanding this properly, you bought the Tengen trademark?
-
That one caught me off guard. Lol
-
Did Jeffery quit the Jaguar scene? I tried to visit his website, but it seems to be gone. I thought his JagZombies project showed promise.
