  1. Great work, TPR! At least we know the facts surrounding the seller.
  2. Wow! Much better! I actuallly think the title screen music sounds better when shortened. Just a suggestion: have you considered randomizing the backbgrounds somewhat? Maybe show a city in the background on the first level (instead of a mountain), then maybe a mountain range in the following level, etc? I think it would add to the game’s overall appeal, and it would also create a feeling of progression through the game’s levels. Again, just a friendly suggestion.
  3. I have a feeling that he isnt going to respond to your request, but I could be wrong. Edit: But please let us know if he does.
  4. I picked up a large Priority box today for the Coleco Grab bag. I’ll get it out to the first person on the list after I place the first (and hopefully the beginning of many) items inside of it.
  5. I return shipped the cartridge via Priority Mail, which includes up to $50 of insurance. I wanted to protect myself from any funny business (i.e. like the seller potentially claiming that the cartridge was damaged in shipment, etc.) All I want is a refund and to be done with this mess.
  6. I am about to leave for the Post Office to return ship the game to the seller. I have been doing some thinking about this: if the seller in question is a member of this community (as some have suggested), would he have accepted the return so quickly (or at all, based on his no return policy comments in the item description?) if it were somebody else? I am just wondering about the feedback I should leave once the return transaction is finished. I dont want other unsuspecting buyers to fall prey to the same thing I did. Edited for spelling.
  7. Im partly to blame for not asking here firsst about the authenticity of the cartridge. One thing is for sure: I plan on reading the Auction Central forum more often going forward.
  8. Okay, heres the current list for the Coleco Grab Bag: The Official Colecovision GRAB BAG: 1. ColecoGamer 2. LoTonah 3. DavidCalgary29 4.cdstahlman 5.ColecoJoe 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. Ill be adding some game cartridges, a couple of Coleco/Adam controllers (maybe someone can use them for parts/repair?), and whatever else I find that will be fun. Once the box is together, I will PM LoTonah and ship the box out. Lets get this ball rolling!
  9. I agree! Ill start a list and add our names to it. Maybe the list will grow over time.
  10. Wow! Listen to this: the seller accepted the return! He didnt say a word in response either.
  11. I just filed a ‘Item not as described’ dispute against the seller. Since the seller refuses returns, I have to wait until May15th to esculate the case to eBay’s dispute team. I appreciate the help that everyone has provided on this topic.
  12. The real question now is how do I explain this to eBays dispute team....
  13. Wow. First, thank you for taking the time to respond to this thread, NewColeco. It really sickens me to know that someone is downloading your work and selling it on eBay to make a profit. I was going to leave well enough alone in regards to the eBay seller I bought the cartridge from, but after reading your response? Im inclined to file a dispute and leave negative feedback. This is bullshit. And to make matters worse, the seller in question has more of your games on eBay with prototype in their titles.
  14. Thank you for the suggestion. I just sent a PM to NewColeco containing a link to this discussion.
  15. I don’t have the equipment to dump the rom, but I’d be willing to send it to someone who can.
  16. Here are pictures of the game running on my stock Coleco. Some things to note: 1. The game title reads JBulman Junior 2. Part of the game selection screen is written in French.
  17. I appreciate the feedback. The work on the board looks real sloppy too. I’m not an expert on these things, though.
  18. I haven’t tested the cartridge yet. I plan on doing that a bit later in the evening.
  19. Okay, the moment of truth is here. I opened the cart and found some interesting things. Let me know what you all think:
  20. There’s also that, too. It’ll be a learning experience nonetheless.
  21. The best grounds I have to argue (if I do file a complaint) is the seller’s insistance that it wasn’t a common, ordinary Coleco cartridge. He’ll also have to counter argue why he felt the cartridge wasn’t ordinary, and then explain why. The loss of a cartridge label won’t be good enough to validate his argument, if that’s the case.
  22. Strange you couldnt find it; I bought it less than 6 days ago. In either case, heres the item number if that helps: 332629247768
  23. Some good news: according to the tracking number, the cartridge arrived a day early (i.e. today instead of Friday) at the Post Office. Ill drop by and pick it up after work. I am actually nervous about this now. The seller seemed friendly during the transaction, but his item descrptions are less than welcoming. Yes, its on me for buying from him. But at the same time - he is using dodgy practices to sell games. I dread doing a refund if this item turns out to be a common cart with a handwritten label. If the cart isnt a proto, it will raise the following question: why is he falsely advertising games as prototypes? And how many unsuspecting people has he screwed along the way?
  24. This is what I am concerned about. I’m hoping its a prototype, but I’m not holding my breath.
  25. Heres a link to the sellers other Coleco prototypes: https://www.ebay.com/sch/Video-Games/139973/m.html?item=332629247768&redirect=mobile&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_ssn=steadydietofpez
