Hi, I recently got an Atari 800XL and an Indus GT floppy drive from a friend who was cleaning his garage. They were both rather dirty (the Atari especially so) and I have no way to test functionality as I haven't got a power adapter. I noticed Commodore power plugs fit (I have one with all the pins, not just 4), but I haven't powered it up for fear of the voltage being wrong and blowing chips. So, is the power plug compatible? If not, where's the best place to purchase one? What maintenance besides basic cleaning should I do as it's been sitting for 15+ years? I'd love to get it and the Indus working together if I can do so without spending an exorbitant amount of money. This would be my first Atari computer and I can use all the help I could get. I have access to soldering equipment and a voltmeter. I'll get some photos up when I get home if that'd help diagnosis.

The TV displayed the Atari picture fine last time I pulled it out around a month ago. This is a new and recent issue making me think it's the console itself

Hi, I've got an Atari 2600 JR that has been sitting for maybe a month. I was at a thrift store yesterday and picked up Pitfall, Pole position, and Adventure for a grand $6. This inspired me to pull out the 2600 again (I've been busy with 68k related Mac projects) but I'm having a strange issue. Regardless of the position of the b/w color switch, it remains in black and white. However, it's different shades of black and white, something which I think the photos can explain better than I can. I'm also not getting any sound. This is the Atari in b/w mode and the colors all look correct. This is the Atari when I set it to color mode. It stays black and white but the shades are all wrong. As a side note, I know the RF cable and coaxial switch box are fine; they both work perfectly with my c64. What could cause this?
