Xcloud is going to eat Stadia's lunch. It's still in beta and has 10x the amount of games, and the MS library is a lot less of a walled garden. Not that I care about streaming either way, but Google is not a gaming company, and it shows a lot.

XB1 Children of Morta (341 min) Oculus Quest Beat Saber (546 min) Still having fun with Beat Saber, playing 1-1.5 hours a day, it's a pretty decent workout. My FitBit has never been this happy with me in month of January, lol. Children of Morta is a pretty cool indie game, kind of a Diablo-style RPG roguelike. It's tough getting past the first few bosses, but I understand that the game moves along a lot quicker as the characters get more powerful.

Yeah, I've been in the 2.0 beta for a few months. Pretty cool and a good way to see if I already own a game or not, because it's starting to get confusing, lol.

550k? If MS, Sony, or Nintendo had a first month like that, people would be fired the next month, and their gaming divisions would be a distant memory in 6 months... And this is telling...Destiny 2 is the one free game on Stadia.

I see them more as AA. Not AAA, but not indie either.

Switch Fire Emblem: Three Houses (529 min) XB1 The Talos Principle (655 min) Oculus Quest Beat Saber (740 min) Vader Immortal (110 min) Okay, so I finished my first playthrough of FE:TH, definitely going to revisit it again with a different house. Went back to Talos Principle and the puzzles are getting a lot tougher. Not sure if I'm going to force myself to finish this one like I did the Witness last year. I love puzzle games, but when they start getting frustrating, I tend to set them aside. So, like I mentioned last week, I got my Quest and I'm impressed. Beat Saber is addictive, it'll probably be on my list in some capacity for the foreseeable future. Vader Immortal is cool, I've played the first of three parts. The story mode is short, but immersive, and the Training Mode, which I first thought was just a tutorial, is a game in it's own right with 20 progressively difficult levels (I've only gotten to 9 so far). While I'm not too interested in shooter/action-y VR games, I'll certainly be getting into more rhythm, fitness, adventure, and puzzle games.

That's me, too. My top 10 that I listed on ResetEra has one AAA game at 9th spot. That said, it has a "new edition" port, an updated 3-year old game, and an expansion. Not sure if that's a statement on the quality of the games, or the fact that I don't pre-order or buy games at launch... I imagine Children of Morta, Outer Wilds, and Age of Wonders: Planetfall may have made the list had I gotten around to them yet.

I can't remember how to get to PS4 game played time, but for Xbox, it's this: Boot up your Xbox One. Find the game for which you want to check the hours played on the home screen. Alternatively, you can use the My Games and Apps menu. Highlight the game’s icon. Use the hamburger menu key on your controller to bring up the App menu. Then tap on Go To Official Club. Scroll left or right to access the Progress tab on the new screen you’ll see. You’ll land on the Achievements tab. Scroll down and select on the Stats tab. The Stats tab will show you total hours played, and some other interesting game statistics. Here you can click on Compare with Friends and see who spent more hours playing this game. Not sure why they make it such a PITA to see...

Switch Fire Emblem: Three Houses (1190 min) Lots more Fire Emblem this week. I'm in the home stretch, probably around 10 or so hours to go. This game is right up my alley, I'll likely play again in the future with a different house. I've got an Occulus Quest arriving next week, so I should have a new platform to add to the list...

Switch Fire Emblem: Three Houses (2202 min) Hoo boy, this game has grabbed me. The gameplay is fun, the characters are interesting, and the story is enticing, even if the midgame twist is entirely predictable, due to some very on-the-nose foreshadowing (or at least is was with the house I chose to side with to start the game).

If you plan on using it enough to justify the cost of the subscription, Game Pass is a unreal deal with a bunch of awesome games that they add to every week.

The 64GB version has been sold out in Canada for weeks, and I don't really want to pay a 30% premium for some more storage. Maybe some day...

Awesome work! What's the thinking behind splitting Skyrim from Elder Scrolls? Don't get me wrong, I loved Skyrim and thought everything else ES was somewhere between fine and terrible, but it is called Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, so I'm curious.

Switch Fire Emblem: Three Houses (716 min) Forgot we were going all the way to the end of the year this week. Started up Fire Emblem on the Switch once I got home. Playing on Normal/Classic (with permadeath), so I'm being extra careful. Lots going on in this game, though I recognize some things from what I played FE Awakenings back when I had a 3DS.

Arcade Block Out (36 min) Combat School (5 min) Galaga (13 min) Hat Trick (61 min) Joust (12 min) Ms. Pac-Man (9 min) Got back to the arcade back home over the holidays and played some favorites with my brother.

XB1 Overcooked 2 (493 min) PC Jackbox Party Pack 5 (81 min) Jackbox Party Pack 6 (43 min) Stayed with my brother over the holidays, and aside from watching the new seasons of The Toys That Made Us and Letterkenny, we managed to finish Overcooked 2, getting 3 stars on every stage. Which was a lot easier to do than the first one... Also got some Jackbox games (Mad Verse City and Trivia Murder Party 2) played at a birthday party.

XB1 The Talos Principle (106 min) Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (67 min) Untitled Goose Game (213 min) Switch Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (74 min) Played the main campaign of UGG, and had a lot of fun being a horrible goose. Also played through what they have so far of the campaign for TABS, but it's still in early access, and that was amusing. Some more Talos Principle tonight, but I'm heading home for the holidays, so next week will be lots of co-op and party games. Thus my hour of Smash Bros. practice.

I'm not sure how people were initially confused by the size. There's a controller there for comparison.

Like I mentioned, think of it like phones. Samsung has Galaxy phones, Apple has iPhones, etc. Each model has its own specific name.

You beat me by a couple minutes, lol Consoles being sold like phones feels wrong, but at least they're less expensive, I guess.

XB1 Borderlands 2 (161 min) The Outer Worlds (400 min) The Talos Principle (133 min) Finally finished Outer Worlds, sticking it to The Man, or The Board, in this case. Doesn't look like a very replayable game, for the most part, but it was a lot of fun. On top of another co-op session of BL2, I started Talos Principle, a pretty-looking 1st person environment manipulation puzzle game with some philosophy built in. Cool game.

XB1 The Outer Worlds (313 min) Was hoping to get back to my 1000+ min of gaming this week, but troubleshooting and repairing my PC (6-month old power supply failed, go figure) and then becoming ill this weekend limited my play time. That said, OW is still a lot of fun when I get around to it.

I think it'll soon look more like the Blockbuster for games...

XB1 The Outer Worlds (189 min) I've been pretty lax in my gaming while binging a bunch of tv, lately (Watchmen, His Dark Materials, The Rook, The Mandalorian, RWBY, She Ra, The Dragon Prince, Star Wars Rebels, Castlevania). Coupled with a busier weekend than expected when I had planned to get get back at it means only a few more hours of OW this week.
