There are a lot of 2600 games that, if you're unfamiliar with them, you'll have no idea what is supposed to be represented on the screen. Almost none of those are Activision games. Bright, clean, sharp, and you can tell at a glance what you're looking at. With games, being fun is most important, and most Activision games are, but nice looking is a close second for me, and they do that in spades, as well.

PS4 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered (604 min) Some PS4 love! Played Uncharted when I first got my PS4 3 years ago, but never followed up with number two until now. Enjoying it, as I expected. I like the Uncharted/Tomb Raider style platform/puzzle shooters.

SNES Aerobiz Supersonic (257min) This is one of the few classic Koei games I haven't tried (this one, or the original Aerobiz), so thought I'd give it a try. Pretty interesting airline business sim.

Hit box in that game is a bit larger than I'm used to, for sure. Trying to time it to hit as many enemies as possible usually ends up with me dying because they got too close...

XB1 Borderlands 2 (126 min) Continued the co-op game this week. I'm playing the Siren, my brother is the Commando, and we've gotten to level 9.

Arcade 1942 (17 min) Asteroids (11 min) Aero Fighters (8 min) Burgertime (10 min) G-Darius (13 min) Still on a shoot em up kick, still not very good at them, but practice is helping.

Man, the Screwball challenges in the DLC are very much challenging, especially that end one. No spoilers, but if you liked the pigeon side quest, get ready for that x10...

This sounds right. I think I disabled the alarm in the 2nd camp I encountered. Didn't really know what I was doing in the 1st one, realized how hard it was in the 2nd one and decided drawing out bandits from the camp is easier than trying to sneak in.

Atari 2600 River Raid (9 min) Solar Fox (8 min) NES Gradius (6 min) Gyruss (16 min) Popeye (6 min) While I loved many of the Atari arcade ports as a little kid, when I was a teen, I kinda looked down on the arcade ports for the NES, preferring the platformers and RPGs. These days I like the pick up and play nature of the ports. I kinda suck at shooters, but they're fun.

XB1 Borderlands 2 (114 min) Started playing BL2 coop with my brother. Originally played it when it first came out on the 360, so it's been a while, and it's new to my bro. PC Reigns (89 min) Got the GoT Reigns on sale, and then realized I never played the original, so I played that for a bit.

NES Blaster Master (14 min) Clu Clu Land (10 min) Gradius (32 min) Kung Fu (9 min) Lifeforce (10 min) Got some Nintendo time this weekend. Mostly because I had a hankering for some Gradius, but got a few other games in, too.

XB1 Halo: Master Chief Collection (138 min) Finished my coop playthrough of Halo CE with my brother. Next up will be Borderlands 2. I'm pretty psyched up for BL3, so I got him a copy of the Handsome Collection while it was on sale so we can coop that. Wolfenstein: The New Order (110 min) Got to the London Monitor boss fight, almost killed him and then died, so that was a good time to step away from the game for the evening, lol.

Right? I remember doing the "WTF? Steam?" grumbling in 2005 when I picked up a supposed physical copy of Civilization 4, which really just turned out to be a license key and link to steam on a disc. I'm actually surprised anyone can still find a PC boxed game on a shelf any more...

Aside from who you choose to save at the beginning, the game is pretty linear, so I doubt it has multiple endings, or at least more than two.

XB1 Wolfenstein: The New Order (640 min) Got some gaming in this week, continuing my Wolfenstein game. Fun game, it has it's tough points that have, um, extended my gameplay a tad.

That's my secret, Cap. I was never good a video games.

XB1 Wolfenstein: The New Order (123 min) Not much gaming this week, but I started Wolfenstein this weekend. Didn't realize how much of a stealth game it was or I'd have gotten to it sooner than this.

If it's another Destiny clone, we riot. Seriously, this series is one of my favorites, I'm looking forward to the PAX announcement.

XB1 Armello (507 min) I've had this on my Steam wishlist for a while, but just picked it up for under $5 on XBox. Fun board game style of game with cards and dice, and some replay value with different characters and win conditions. Injustice 2 (224 min) Not big into fighting games, but enjoyed the first game's story mode, and this version is fun, too, though I'm not a fan of the lootbox style upgrade system they've incorporated.

PC (Win10) Civilization VI (811 min) Just some more Civ this week. Looked like I was going to pull out a science victory in my Maori game, but the Americans won with a culture victory 2 turns before that. D'oh, I don't remember the last time I've lost at endgame (I've lost/given up plenty of times mid-game), so that was interesting. Tried building my culture to hold it off, but it didn't quite work out. Started another game with Aquitaine (France) on a real world Europe map. Currently allied with England and Scotland and not getting along well with Spain.

PC (Win10) Civilization VI (1408 min) Finished the Canada game, winning a cultural victory pretty easily. Sweden tried to win a religious victory, but I held them off with my Hockey religion, haha. Started a new game as the Maori, who start on an ocean hex, along with the techs to cross ocean hexes and a few other perks to make up for having to find a place to settle. Playing my first Emperor level game, and it's also going pretty well. Civ 6 is a lot easier than the previous version of the game, King used to always kick my ass more often than not... Invisible Inc. (134 min) Turn-based tactical stealth game? Yes, please. I'm liking it so far.... Jackbox Party Pack Vol 3. (142 min) Played some party games this weekend at a friend's birthday party.

XB1 The Witness (152 min) That was a fun game. I admit I needed some hints in a couple spots where I had no idea how the puzzle worked. But each level had some interesting twists and they came together in the town and mountain levels. Highly recommended if you like puzzle solving. PC (Win10) Civilization VI (936 min) Gathering Storm is out, so I'm playing Canada on King level. Decided to try a real Earth map with RL starting positions. And for the 1st time in well over 200 games of Civ 1 through 6, I'm all alone on a continent, no one else in the Americas, aside from two city-states. Wasn't sure how that would go. It's going very well, actually. Oh, and Canada founded the religion of Hockey, because of course they did.

I knew there was a reason I didn't bother with the Activision patches...

PS4 Spider-Man (165 min) Finally finished the game. Man, the Screwball challenges in the DLC were like mini rogue-likes. I think it took 40 tries for the final chase, which is fine in an instant-reload tough platformer, but not a AAA with a loading screen.... But I loved this game over all. Not only looking forward to the inevitable sequal, but I hope they branch out into a Marvel Gaming Universe. The setting is great. Heavy Rain (1305 min) I've got the three latest Quantic Dreams games, and haven't played any, so I decided to start with oldest one. I liked it, nice and relaxing compared to Spidey. Decent story, adequate voice acting. Apareantly there's like 18 different endings, so I may pick this up again in the future. XB1 Halo: Master Chief Collection (185 min) Almost done Halo CE in my co-op campaign. The final mission was giving us some trouble. The Witness (848 min) Forgot that I got this on XBL last year, fun open world puzzle game. Finally got to the point where the Town puzzles make sense, but man, are they tough...

It's the flavor of the moment. This, too, shall pass.
