So, I wanted to take one of my PS4 Spider-Man photos and make it the background on my XB1, because I'm weird like that. Lots of Googling to figure that one out, but here's the convoluted steps: 1. Create photo in Spider-Man on PS4. 2. Pres the share button, share it to Archive. 3. Open PS App on phone, go to photo in What's New, pull down menu to save as jpg. Now, from here, one would think, my phone has OneDrive, XBox has OneDrive, easy, right? Nope. 4. Upload photo to OneDrive, thinking the above works. 5. When it doesn't (can't make backgrounds from OneDrive files, or move files from OneDrive in XBox), open OneDrive on PC, move file to a USB drive. 6. Open USB on XB1, open photo. Then, unintuitively press start to get the option to set the photo as background. Neither the PS4 or the XB1 were intuitive when it came to doing any of this. Granted, moving media isn't the primary function of a game console, but wow, that was in no way easy to figure out without help. I guess if I wanted to connect a social accounts to my consoles that might have been easier, but that's not happening.

Have you seen the dumpster fire over Metro Exodus dumping Steam for Epic? Even on the the same physical platform, there will be digital platform warriors that fight for...reasons, I guess.

PC (Win10) Stellaris (323 min) Man, this game keeps evolving, you wouldn't even recognize version 2.2 from 1.0. Unfortunately, that means relearning it every time I get the itch...which always seems to coincides with an upcoming Civ 6 expansion launch... XB1 Halo: Master Chief Collection (122 min) Still pecking away at Halo CE co-op, 3 missions to go. PS4 Spider-Man (288 min) Guarantee I'll have this completed this week (as I've already done that today, lol).

PS4 Spider-Man (572 min) The DLC is not too bad, story-wise, but those Screwball challenges are annoying. And the Hammerhead bases are tough, but fun. XB1 Halo: Master Chief Collection (137 min) More online co-op with my brother. Almost through Halo: CE.

PS4 Spider-Man (1075 min) Not much variety this week, this game has me webbed-up, as it were. The map shows 90% completion, so almost done, though I did pick up the deluxe edition with the DLC over the holidays, so there's that, too.

PC (Win10) Banished (420 min) I was on a city sim kick over the holidays (Frost Punk and Avon Colony was played, as well), but that itch is scratched, so I'll probably not go back to any sim games until the new Civ6 expansion hits. Xbox One Celeste (150 min) I come back to this every couple weeks, then once I get frustrated I put it down for a while, haha. Halo: Master Chief Collection (190 min) My brother got an Xbox late last year, so we're playing some co-op games online. PS4 Spider-Man (810 min) Loving this game; traversal, combat, story, all excellent!

Nice! I totally forgot about this show, but as soon as I saw the name, that laid-back theme song came rushing back out of the dusty cobwebbed sections of my brain...

For arcade action, the earlier EA games were great. But back in the day, the combo of Wayne Gretzky Hockey 2 with Hockey League Simulator 2 for DOS was my go-to. The graphics were ass, even for the time, but the gameplay was great and playing a season was fun.

Love my N30 pad. Picked up their arcade stick yesterday and I'm very impressed in the stick at its price point.

1995 was gaming no-man's-land for me. A few years after my SNES & Genesis excitement, a couple years before I got a PlayStation and my first proper PC rig. So, I was rocking an older 286 and a Genesis, playing more games at friends' places, who had much newer PCs.

Arcade? I'm right-handed, so of course I use my left hand. (if you're right handed and use right, don't google-image-search "arcade stick"... unless you want to get triggered)

I have a bad memory for the exact first game, but early 1980, I played my uncles' Atari 2600. They had Combat, Space Invaders, and Asteroids, so it was one of those. As for arcade, in 82, one opened at a laundromat near me home, with Ms. Pac-Man, Defender, Robotron 2080, Pole Position, so for arcade it was one of those.

Just got both Valkeria Chronicles Remastered and NieR: Automata in the current sale. Really want to give Nier a try, but I've never played VC, and I'm a sucker for tactical turn-based games, so that's getting played first.

The trick to defeating the Lynel and getting the shock arrows? Don't fight the Lynel and just get the shock arrows. I got 24 without him even noticing I was there, without any stealth buffs. I then completed Vah Ruda with 5 hearts. It's not that tough if you give it a go. That's honestly the underlying trick for anything in this game: don't fight unless you have to. When you do, be a tricky sumbich.

I'm far more interested in both UI and the controller than the console's aesthetics, which is why I've gone with the MS consoles over Sony's the past couple gens. Though I do prefer to have black consoles over white.

My ranking is 1. SMW 2. SMB3 3. SMB 4. SM64 5. SMB2 I never played SML, as I never owned a GB as a kid (I should give it a go now that I can). SMB2 wasn't bad game back in the day, it was just an oddity. Even as a kid, it made me scratch my head. I played a bit of each of the newer games, but none of them really grabbed me.

So I've seen. But my love for Fire Emblem is absolutely annihilated by my loathing for FTP mobile games, unfortunately.

I got the season pass. I played through once before any DLC came out, and then again after it all came out. Aside from how it starts and ends, it was almost like playing a New Vegas style sequel, there's so much content in all of the DLC, you can ignore almost all of the core game aside from what you need to do for the main story. That said, Far Harbor was the best, Automatron was fun, Nuka World had an interesting concept, but a lot of the content boils down to fetch quests, which was a bit disappointing. The Workshop DLCs are really only useful if you want to play Minecraft in Fallout.
