  1. Ditto. I can't imagine owning a game for longer than say thirty seconds without ripping off the cellophane. I can't imagine owning one for longer than however long it takes to get it home before playing it. -S
  2. Diablo II is the worst kind of video heroine. I was hopelessly addicted to it for more than a year. I have no idea how many times I played it all the way through. One of the top ten games of all time IMO. -S
  3. This is a widescreen LCD, would that cause an incompatability issue? I belive this is the model that I've got, though I don't have the model number on me: http://www.pyramidcaraudio.com/itempage.as...asp?model=MV7MN -S
  4. Uncommon, yes. Expensive, no. You can buy a nice one for 20k. You could buy one good enough to do this to it for far less, 12k or so. FWIW I think it's cool as hell. I'd love to own it. -S
  5. I've got a composite modded Junior that works fine with my composite CRT monitor. I've also got a 7.2 inch Pyramid LCD screen that works fine with my PS2. For whatever reason the modded junior does not work with the LCD. The picture is there, but it rolls rapidly horizontally from left to right. Does anyone know of any known issues with connecting a modded 2600 to an LCD? Is there another a/v mod that might be more LCD friendly that the one on the VCSp site ( http://www.classicgaming.com/vcsp/Question3.htm )? -S
  6. Yikes, I'd certainly tank at that. -S

    2600 Power Cord

Yes, but unless you're making a portable ( www.classicgaming.com/vcsp/ ) there's not really any point in it, unless you just like to buy batteries. You can get a universal adapter at any Radio Shack or pretty much any other electronics store. I think I've even seen them in Wal-Mart. -S
  8. I don't even bid anymore until I know the shipping charge up front. There are too many jerks out there who charge $6 for shipping and then give you $1.40 in media mail. Give me a break, for $3.75 they could have use Priority, I would get it way sooner and they would still make a profit on shipping. -S

    Controllers

You can have exactly the same amount of fun playing ET whether you use the joysticks, paddles, driving controllers, or no controller at all. -S
  10. That's a great show. Very cool that AtariAge got mentioned. -S
  11. I remember seeing Juniors in stores in the US in the early 90s. Usually on closeout for very cheap. I wish I had the foresight to have bought up a few of them. I was too enamoured with NES at the time. -S
  12. I was hoping to hit 300k last night, but my sixer seems to have developed a problem and my Junior is in pieces on the bench. I guess I need to fix one or the other so I can get back in the game! -S
  13. The only negative feedback I have on ebay was when I flatly refused to pay an outrageous "handling" fee. -S
  14. Still looking to buy a grey brick. -S

    RIP Dragster

I've never had one that couldn't be resurected with a good cleaning. Knock on wood(grain) I don't have any dead carts. -S
  16. Don't know if this will help you or not, but you can get a PDF of the service manual here: http://www.arcadedocs.com/vidmanuals/T/Tra...ackAndField.pdf -S
  17. I've never made it past the first screen. I'm pretty bad at the arcade version too. -S
  18. Quantum is a blast to play in MAME if you have a big arcade trackball. -S
  19. What does the inside of one of these look like? Does it have encoder wheels & optical sensors like an arcade trackball or is the mechanism totally different? -S
  20. I've been thinking the same thing. A couple of Pots and a project box and you could cook up a super Marble craze controller for a few bucks. -S
  21. It's probably a Commadore 64 stick. -S
  22. I had one of those wind up Pac Man thingies. Wonder whatever happened to all that crap I had as a kid. -S
  23. Are you interested in selling the system without the games? -S
