I didn't bother with a picture since my highest score score of 3870 is pretty far from the highest posted here. Jedijeff really must be using the force... or maybe I just need to replace the pots in my paddles.

The plain Atari 2600 carts, that's just what a game cart is supposed to look like IMO.

I've never even played Final Fantasy. I voted for Pitfall, although I would have written in Adventure given the chance. Pitfall would be a close second.

Turns out it's Swedish, but apparantly my Danish buddy can read that language as well.
Spel i kärlekens tecken - Tomas "Xtrmntr" Andersson
Games in the sign of love
Weekends are rare on news, but this saturday all the gamingsites was beating that - absolutely no news that was related to PC gaming but the FZ-bosses had this one :
You, who has been into gaming for a while remembers the console Atari 2600. On the forum at AtariAge, a site dedicated to this classic gaming machine - a user in love named "pmpddytim" declared that he would propose to his girlfriend with the help from Donkey Kong : The Plan was, when his girlfriend manage to get through the first round of the game, she would be met with the proposal. The good "pmpddytim" would like help with suitable clothes and up til April 17 you can post your suggestions. The winner will get $ 25 to invest in AtariAges online-shop.
Kärlek och spel i helig symbios
Love and games united
I think "suitable clothes, should have been "suitable label".

It looks like Danish. I'm emailing this to a friend of mine in Denmark for a translation.

You can slide the cover down by inserting pretty much anything that will fit (I usually use a toothpick) into either of the slots on both sides of the longer slot that the pcb goes through. As far as cleaning goes alcohol and qtips works on 99% of the games I've ever cleaned.

Raiders of the Lost Ark is another one that needs both controllers plugged in.

I actually played this one quite a bit over the weekend. My paddles are not the greatest.

My wife doesn't care a lot for video games, but she'll still play a few rounds of the classics (Ms. Pac Man, Centepede, Dig Dug) on my MAME cab. She doesn't seem very impressed by my 2600, even less impressed by my PS2.

On this same topic, if anyone knows where similar switches can be found I need a few. They don't have to be exactly the same, just close.

Payment coming your way Mr. Bond.
I'll be happy to scan that catalog for the Atari Age database.

I just recently converted a dead arcade machine into a MAME cabinet. I guess I've got the bug to do custom vintage game stuff right now. The VCS project is still at a pretty early stage right now - just a lot of stuff scattered all over the bench.

I mounted mine to a board too. Seemed like a good idea. This junior isn't going back into it's case. It's part of a Self contained VCS project that I'm doing right now. Eventually it will have an LCD screen and custom made arcade style controls all in one enclosure. I'll post pictures when I'm a little further along.

Me too, can't wait to get started!

I still prefer my take-turns approach to picking games.
So do I. No fuss, no muss. I sayyou get to go first since it was your idea.
(Like, both people will just get the same score for that game and we'll move on).Again, simple is good. This seems like a reasonable enough plan to me.

Those are good choices. I think the first game should be a really common one that everyone who wants to partipate is likely to have. That way we'll have more people who want to get involved with this.
Since we're just going on the honor system I don't see rolling the score as a problem, just add up your final score with whatever the game's highest pre-roll score is. I can't imagine that anyone here is sad enough to cheat on this little contest.

Gah! I fold like a cheap card table. PM me your address and I'll snail mail you the payment.
You had to post pictures! Looks just like the one I got for my 9th birthday.

Less talk, more gaming! Somebody choose the first game already!

The mod to get just audio out is super easy. There are only two wires involved.

No he says that he's going to print the picture and mail it to you. That's what you get, a printed copy of his auction listing picture.

We signed up for the do not call list when it first became available. Our telemarketer calls have dropped to almost zero. The only one we were still getting was from SBC trying to sell long distance service. After two calls a day and with me telling them I'm not interested every time I finally exploded at them the last time they called. Used quite a bit of "not for prime time" language and treatened to call my lawyer. Suddenly they don't call anymore either. So there you go. A combo of signing up for the do not call list and over the top hostility worked for me.

It would be a pretty goofy thing to make up, but Jack Black is a pretty goofy guy so...

Nope, selling an electronic version of material that you do not own the copyright for is no different than selling a "hard copy". Equally illegal.
