  1. I hope I don't have that problem. I guess I'd better read the manual on the bluetooth transfer stuff.

Got my memory card yesterday. Still waiting for the BT adapter.

man...just get a USB cable. Your computer will automatically detect the N-gage(with a mem card inserted) as a mass storage device. Then you will have a another Drive present when you open "My Computer". Simply Pimply.

What SteveW said. If there were a USB port I wouldn't be futzing around with bluetooth. ;)

  2. LOL  Sorry man.  LOL  I was in Nebraska checking out a few games and a few arcades.  One of the guys that I've dealt with before (got the SI cocktail from him) said he was looking for a few games.  I told him what I had and he bit very fast.  Good price... more than made enough profit to be happy with it.  Coolest thing:  I didn't have to pack it or anything.  He came... he wrapped, and he left with them.  :)

I do miss the DK cocktail and may have another chance at getting one.  Perhaps I can get you to build my darned MAME machine LOL  Even trade or something.

I'm still ready to go on the MAME machine, whenever you are. Sent you a PM.

  3. Normally I'm in my office and if I have any down time, I do what I'm doing now, check out the forums. Occasionally though, there will be no one at the front desk (the receptionist misses work A LOT) so I'll have to go up there and cover it for an hour or so. That's pretty much a sit there and do nothing job, so I'll play my N-Gage a bit while I'm out there.

  4. You're lucky - T-Mobile's website says they have no signal coverage at all where I live.  Too bad, because free after rebate for this phone sounds like a great deal (at least without looking at the fine print, which I haven't done)

Yeah, it's a pretty great deal, at least I haven't seen a catch if there is one. Where do you live that doesn't have T-Mobile coverage? I live way out in the Oklahoma backwoods and I can get a (weak) signal at home, A decent signal at the lake where I do a lot of fishing, and a great signal pretty much everywhere else. I work in an old brick building that used to completely block the signal from my old phone. The signal meter is almost full on my N-Gage.

  5. Are there screen protectors available?

So I was just shopping around for screen protectors and found this lovely example of Engrish that I thought I'd share:

A.R.M. Kit Crystal Edition Screen Protector is an ultra slim cover to any screen

of PDA, computer monitor or digital camera. Its slim provides much clear view to

the screen without scarifying the protectiveness.

That's good news. The last thing I want to do is scarify my screen's protectiveness. ;)

  6. I'm very impressed at how well it works as a phone. I was able to make and recieve calls while I was fishing out at the lake this weekend. My old phone had no signal out there at all.

I haven't attempted to use any of the email or web features at all on mine yet.

  7. I could have, but I figure an already built cab is worth $50 of labor, and it has the original marquee and control panel to boot.  C'mon, that's worth it, especially since anything _I_ built out of plywood would look crummy.

I feel the same. Not having to build the actual cab was well worth the $50 I paid for a dead one to convert.

  8. If you goto any T-Mobile store and sign up for a new plan you can get the N-Gage QD for Free!!!!!!

That's how I got mine. I'm very impressed with it, both as a phone and as a game system.

  9. I like the smaller screen too. This thing is primarily my cell phone. It needs to be small. However, compared to other phones I've owned, the screen is huge. Works fine for playing games as far as I'm concerned. The vertical orientation doesn't bother me in the slightest.
