  1. I've got a few of those too, but never was curious enough about how well they worked to buy a reader. Looks like that was a good choice. -S
  2. I had it when it was new, along with the gun controller. I royally stunk at it and never found it to be all that much fun. -S
  3. Personally I'd rather save $10 and get a copy without a box. $45 is pretty hefty and I'm not a box collector, I just like to play the games. -S
  4. Do you have a list of stuff you have for trade or are you strictly looking to buy? -S
  5. There were few moments in my childhood that equalled the crushing dissapointment that I experienced the first time I played the 2600 version of Pac-Man. I was and remain a junkie of the arcade version and words just cannot express the level of crapitude that 2600 Pac-Man emits. Having said that I still played the heck out of it when I was a kid and to this day drag the cart out for a couple of rounds now and then. All in all I'd much rather play the arcade version on my MAME cab though. -S

How expensive are you talking about? Less than $100 and I'd say low feedback isn't a real big issue as long as none of it's negative. What have you got for sale? I noticed you're in Oklahoma. I'm always looking for stuff nearby. -S
  7. This game looks incredibly impressive. I'll be looking to buy it when it becomes available in cart form. -S
  8. Sick, sick, sick, sick, but staggeringly funny. -S
  9. I think in superman the floating kryptonite pieces are far worse than the helicopter! -S
  10. You can carve one that will do in a pinch out of a shish-ka-bob skewer, if you can't find the real thing (or are just too cheap to buy one like me). -S
  11. I emailed the pictures of the gamegear that you requested last week but haven't heard from you. Did you get that email. I'm interested in the copy of Pitfall II that you have for trade. -S
  12. Here in Oklahoma the games seem to be still pretty common. Systems are getting pretty hard to come by though. There's a comic book/ game store about a mile from where I work that always has a decent selection of 2600 carts in stock for $1 a piece. Nothing particularly hard to find in the selection, but you can't argue with their pricing. Next week they're having a 25% sale, so I'll be paying them a visit. -S
  13. Can't speak for the original poster, but my answer to this question would be "because it's fun to build stuff". -S
  14. From the seller: He hasn't revised the auction yet, but I just got this in my email about a minute ago. Anyway it sounds like at least a semi-honest mistake in that he was going by an invalid assumption that he made about the cart's origins. -S
  15. Personally I'd be willing to pay less to get just the cart and a link to a downloadable PDF manual. -S
  16. I remember playing that for hours on end on the 2600 as a kid. I totally loved it. The arcade version is better, but the 2600 version is still a blast. -S
  17. The RCA to Coax adapter should do the trick for you. -S
  18. I buy games that I think I'll enjoy playing. Call it collecting if you will. -S
  19. I sent the guy a friendly message telling him what it is that he really has. We'll see if he revises his listing. -S
  20. edit: removed since this turned out to be an honest misunderstanding on the part of the seller. -S
  21. Are you using a switchbox or an adaptor or are you just plugging the cable that comes out of the Atari directly into the RCA jack on the back of your TV? It will physically plug in but it's a totally different signal. You'll need to get an adaptor if you aren't using one. -S
  22. I know what you mean. The other day my brother in law was over and we were playing arcade games on my MAME cab, which he loves. However, when I dragged out the Atari games he just laughed. -S
  23. Neither have I, but since it's classified as "Unbelivably Rare" that's not a big shock. -S
