  1. There were few moments in my childhood that equalled the crushing dissapointment that I experienced the first time I played the 2600 version of Pac-Man. I was and remain a junkie of the arcade version and words just cannot express the level of crapitude that 2600 Pac-Man emits.

Having said that I still played the heck out of it when I was a kid and to this day drag the cart out for a couple of rounds now and then. All in all I'd much rather play the arcade version on my MAME cab though.

  2. How expensive are you talking about? Less than $100 and I'd say low feedback isn't a real big issue as long as none of it's negative.

What have you got for sale? I noticed you're in Oklahoma. I'm always looking for stuff nearby.

  3. Here in Oklahoma the games seem to be still pretty common. Systems are getting pretty hard to come by though. There's a comic book/ game store about a mile from where I work that always has a decent selection of 2600 carts in stock for $1 a piece. Nothing particularly hard to find in the selection, but you can't argue with their pricing. Next week they're having a 25% sale, so I'll be paying them a visit. 8)

  4. From the seller:

Thanks for the tip.  My cousin brought me these carts when he used to work at Sears.  I remember he told me these carts were used in the playable displays until the "newness" wore off, and the manager would give them out to employees.  I was under the impression that the carts were unique in that right, but I guess they aren't.  I will revise my auction if it isn't too late and if you would or could, pass my apologies on with a cut and paste to whomever I have caused to give me negative responses.

Again I am sorry and will revise my auction.

He hasn't revised the auction yet, but I just got this in my email about a minute ago. Anyway it sounds like at least a semi-honest mistake in that he was going by an invalid assumption that he made about the cart's origins.

  5. Are you using a switchbox or an adaptor or are you just plugging the cable that comes out of the Atari directly into the RCA jack on the back of your TV? It will physically plug in but it's a totally different signal. You'll need to get an adaptor if you aren't using one.
