  1. Throw yourself over and tread water alongside the boat in hopes of saving the games. -S
  2. Being a huge fan of Vector arcade games I have to disagree with that (not that my opinion is any more valid than yours! ). Plus IMO battlezone really should be played with two joysticks. I was pleased to find the hack that allows you to do this. -S
  3. If you're interested in a Sega Gamegear I have one and three of four games that I never use any more. I'd rather trade for Atari or arcde stuff than sell. Feel free to email or PM. [email protected] -S
  4. Oh sure, you gotta mention ET! -S
  5. Clearly all of the arcade translations were inferior to the genuine arcade versions. The 2600 was just too limited to compete. I'm not saying that the games weren't fun and very playable, because many of them were. I think I must have put about a million miles on Ms. Pac Man. Mario Brothers is another one that I played to death. The original Atari games were always much better than the translated arcade games. Adventure, Superman, Yar's Revenge, etc etc etc. -S
  6. I have a SlikStik Tornado spinner on my MAME cab. Cost about $90 +shipping, but it is about as close to perfect as spinner controls come in my opinion. Vastly superior to anything you'll find on a genuine arcade cabinet. Of course I'm a Tempest junkie, so it was worth it to me just be able to play that one game with the correct type of control. -S
  7. I like this: There was a limited quantity of everything ever made. Show me something that was ever made in unlimited quantity. -S

    Homebrew Mania!

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum. Almost all of my carts are left over from my mis-spent youth. Since my interest in the 2600 has only rekindled in the last few months, I wasn't even aware of homebrews until just recently. As a result I don't own any HB carts at all, a situation I intend to remedy shortly. -S
  9. Are either of them a Jr? I need an extra one for a project I'm doing. -S
  10. I expressed interest in another thread regarding this device, but I'll do it here as well. I've been away from the Atari scene for too long it seems! I'm staggered at the number of new products that are being offfered! In any case once this is ready for sale I'd be quite interested in buying one from you depending on final price and features. -S
  11. No, there aren't a huge number of one buuton, digital direction pad only modern console games out there. -S
  12. I agree with that one! The swinging on the vines sound in Pitfall is another good one. -S
  13. This is a really amazing device. I'd be very interested in one if as others have said, it supports multicart functions. -S
  14. Wow, an inside connection for Kool-Aid points! What I would have done for that! -S
  15. I'm a little confused as to how checking out a booth at a public convention can be considered spying. -S

    WARLORDS!

Not just you! Warlords was always my favorite game that uses paddles. Good stuff! -S

    Superman

Superman is one of the very best 2600 games IMO early or otherwise. I used to have it, but alas it's one that's dissapeared from my collection over the years. I've just recently gotten back into the Atari scene, and Superman is very high on my games to get list. -S
  18. That would be super easy to make yourself, since the 2600 joystick is probably the simplest controller ever. -S
  19. You know I did! I do remember that game being pretty fun, but I have no idea what happened to it. Odd since I still have most of the other games I had as a kid. -S
  20. I just bought a Jr & 21 games for $15. Nothing particularly rare, but I didn't have most of the games so it seemed a bargain to me. -S
  21. Yes yes yes! Please add me to the pre-order list. If you need my email address for your list it's [email protected] I'd also be interested in just buying the completed PCB, for a project I'm doing, but if you don't offer that then I may actually buy two of the complete systems. -S
  22. I'm curious about this as well. If I buy an EPROM burner is it just a matter of downloading the ROM images online and then burning them to an EPROM, then soldering the EPROM onto one of the cards available on this site? Is there more to it than this? I have plenty of soldering experience so the actual physical ssembly of the PCB wouldn't be a problem. I'm just curious if the process of burning an EPROM is more or less the same as burning a CD or is there more to it? Also will any EPROM burner do the trick or is there a specific type that's needed. My apologies if this is a subject that's been done to death already. I'm not very good at finding what I'm looking for by searching forums. -S
